Robert Lalain Robert Lalain 6'4" | 220 lbs | QB Divine Child | 2023 State MI – Divine Child – 6’3″ 210 lbs
The first thing you notice about Lalain is his command and control of the huddle. He’s the guy, and everyone knows it. He stands tall in the pocket and is able to see over the line and make every throw. The only knock I have on him in the pocket is if he gets hit early in the game he can get happy feet. He can make every throw and it comes out the same every time. He’s also good enough of an athlete to break a run and be a threat on the ground.
Atticus Carridine Atticus Carridine 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Ypsilanti Community | 2023 MI – Ypsilanti – 6’2″ 165 lbs
Carridine is a great athlete. The entire offense is built around his ability to run. He will run all over defenses and carve them up like a turkey. He’s a gym rat too and loves the weight room. He’s not the heaviest kid, but he plays every pound of that 165 frame. Throwing wise, he’s good enough to get the job done. His arm isn’t anything special and his throwing mechanics are fine but his best ability is running around and making things happen with his legs.
Christian Johnson Christian Johnson 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB River Rouge | 2023 State MI – River Rouge – 6’2″ 210 lbs
Christian Johnson Christian Johnson 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB River Rouge | 2023 State MI is another great athlete. He’s going to run all over defenses and he’s great at making guys miss. He has a decent arm and can make most of the throws. Johnson right now doesn’t have any college offers but he’s hoping to change that this fall. He has the eyes on him he just needs to be consistent. He’s shown great flash but he’s been up and down. He’s still very young and developing and this year isn’t a make-or-break situation for him either.
Brady Hanna Brady Hanna 6'3" | 165 lbs | QB Fowlerville | 2023 MI – Fowlerville – 6’3″ 190 lbs
Hanna likes to sit in the pocket and throw darts. He doesn’t like to be flushed out of the pocket, but he still makes plays out of it. He’s able to run around and extend plays. He’s got a decent sense of pressure on his blindside. He is very good at throwing to his right and they will design throws to get him moving right. It’s when he gets pushed left or flushed out unnaturally where he struggles. He’s looking to play college ball and with a big year, he could put himself on the map and get a few offers.
Dante Moore Dante Moore 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Detroit King | 2023 State MI – Martin Luther King – 6’2″ 195 lbs
It’s hard not to talk about 2023 and not to mention the most decorated recruit of the class. If you don’t know, Donte Moore is a dual-threat QB and ranked as the 3rd QB and 17th overall recruit in the nation. I just wanted to give a brief recruitment update with Moore. Moore is “warm” on his offers from Michigan, Michigan State, and most recently Notre Dame. He has offers from every school you can imagine, but those 3 are top right now. Tommy Rees of Notre Dame is doing everything he can to land Moore. Moore will be the prized recruit of the class and when he signs somewhere Prep Redzone will be all over it.
