The Panthers cruised through their regular season schedule, outscoring opponents 354-9, an average score of 59 – 1.5. After dominating the York-Adams conference, the Panthers still dominated in the first four rounds of the playoffs, defeating Central Dauphin, William Penn, Delaware Valley, and McDowell, all by double digits. Their smallest margin of victory leading up to the state championship game was 16. Unfortunately for Central York, they would run into the buzzsaw that is known as St. Joseph’s Prep in the AAAAAA state championship game losing 62-13. That being said, losing to one of the most talented teams in the state’s history is nothing to hang their hat on as it was still a terrific season that saw Central York really dominate every game leading up to the state championship.
In 2021, the Panthers will look to replicate that success and get back to the state championship game. They’ll certainly be one of the favorites to get to Hershey, but it will certainly not be easy once they get out of conference play and into the playoffs. If they do get back to the state championship game, they’ll need another big season out of our four ranked Central York Panther players;
2022 No.11 / No.1 QB Beau Pribula Beau Pribula 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Central York | 2022 State PA
Pribula is the top Pennsylvania quarterback in the 2022 cycle and is our No.11 player regardless of position. The Penn State commitment really broke out last season, taking over as the starter for Central York and showed why the Penn State coaching staff likes him so much. A true dual-threat quarterback, Pribula finds ways to make plays both with his arm and his feet. Last season in 11 games, Pribula passed for 2,156-yards and 34 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. He also added on 519-yards on the ground and 14 touchdowns while gaining an average of 8.4 yards per carry. If his junior year was an inclination of what to expect this year, Pribula is in for an incredible senior season.
2022 No. 324 / No.32 RB Carter Glassmyer Carter Glassmyer 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Central York | 2022 State PA
Glassmyer has quite a bit of upside and is someone who could rise in the rankings with a good senior season. He’s got quality size at 6-foot-0 and 215-pounds and shows some good athleticism as well. He’s somebody we’ll have our eyes on pretty closely this season.
2023 No.48 / No.3 WR Parker Hines Parker Hines 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Central York | 2023 State PA
Our No.3 wide receiver in the class of 2023, Hines has a chance to really breakout and become one of the state’s top wide receivers regardless of class. Last season, Hines totaled 27 receptions for 358-yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. We expect those numbers to increase by quite a bit as long as he stays healthy this season. He shows good hands and route running skills which should benefit him quite a bit, now, that he will be Beau Pribula Beau Pribula 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Central York | 2022 State PA ’s top target this season.
2023 No.295 / No.25 OL Danny Pham Danny Pham 6'1" | 290 lbs | OL Central York | 2023 State PA
Our final Central York player is offensive lineman Danny Pham Danny Pham 6'1" | 290 lbs | OL Central York | 2023 State PA who is our 25th ranked offensive lineman in the class of 2023. Pham has good size at 6-foot-1 and 275-pounds. He’s solid to the point of attack and uses his size to his advantage, he plays to the whistle as well showing the tenacity you like to see in an offensive lineman. He’s got some good upside and is someone I’ll personally be paying close attention to this season.
