These are young athletes who got their first season of high school football under their belts and will be names to keep an eye on as they continue to develop and hone their craft. With that being said, let’s take a first look at the 24’ ATH.
Blayne Sisson Blayne Sisson 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB Mt. Carmel | 2024 State IL 6’2 180 Mt Carmel Twitter
Mr. Sisson is from Mt Carmel, he got his feet wet this spring playing on Varsity as a Freshman and he didn’t disappoint. What I like most about this young man has to do with the big plays he makes when the ball is in his hands, this ranges from kickoff returns to running jet sweeps to getting the handoff in the backfield to catching the ball from a pass. Not to mention he stands at 6’2 180. Mr. Sisson made an impact this past spring on Varsity and is ready to shine moving forward, if he’s not on your radar he should be.
Tysean Griffin Tysean Griffin 5'11" | 165 lbs | ATH Morgan Park | 2024 State IL 5’11 165 Morgan Park Twitter
Mr. Griffin is from Morgan Park, he played on Varsity as a Freshman this past spring where he showcased what he can do. What I like most about this young man is how explosive he is on both sides of the ball. He stands at 5’11 165 and is able to change gears quickly which goes hand in hand with his playmaking ability. This comes to light on both sides of the ball and in the return game where he weaves in and out of the defenders when the ball is in his hands resulting in big plays. Keep an eye on Mr. Griffin, he’s ready to shine this fall and I have no doubt it’s going to be a sight to see.
Miles Cremascoli Miles Cremascoli 6'3" | 205 lbs | ATH New Trier | 2024 State IL 6’2 180 New Trier Twitter
Mr. Cremascoli is from New Trier, he played on JV as a Freshman this past spring where he showcased what he can do. What I like most about this young man is his ability to go up and get the ball on offense and on defense his ability to blow up plays by getting pressure on the QB as well as getting off blocks to make the tackle in the backfield. Now again, this is at the JV level so we still have yet to see how this compares to how he does against Varsity competition. All of that being said, he has a good size standing at 6’2 180 heading into his sophomore season which I have no doubt will be a sight to see.
Noah Gertonson Noah Gertonson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH St Rita | 2024 IL St Rita Twitter
Mr. Gertonson is from St Rita, he played on JV as a Freshman this past spring where he showcased what he can do. What I like most about this young man is his explosiveness in all areas of the game (offense, defense, special teams) where he showed glimpses of what’s to come. Standing at 5’11 170 he had a good showing this past spring, with that being said keep an eye on how he produces with a full fall season. Keep an eye on this young man as he continues to develop and hone his craft, he has untapped potential yet to come to light and if it does he’s going to be a sight to see.
Dailen Zollicoffer Dailen Zollicoffer 5'10" | 155 lbs | ATH Glenbard East | 2024 IL Glenbard East Twitter
Mr. Zollicoffer is from Glenbard East, he played on JV as a Freshman this past spring where he showcased what he can do. What I like most about this young man is his ability to make plays in all areas (offense, defense, and special teams) on the JV level. He currently stands at 5’10 155 and has shown glimpses of his untapped potential, if that’s any indication of what’s to come he’s going to be a name to keep an eye on as he continues to hone his craft by developing further.
Kaleb Ellis Kaleb Ellis 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH IC Catholic Prep | 2024 IL IC Catholic Prep
Mr. Ellis is from IC Catholic Prep, he played on JV as a Freshman this past spring and showcased what he can do. What I like most about this young man is his quickness/speed coming to light on both sides of the ball at the JV level whether that’s at receiver or at defensive back to make plays. He showed glimpses of his untapped potential and if it’s any indication of what’s to come you should keep an eye on how he produces this fall season. With that being said, keep an eye on him as he continues to hone his craft and develop further as he awaits his first snaps on Varsity.
These are the young men that are getting their first look at the rankings. They put in the hard work, developed their craft, and showcased what they can do during the spring season as well as at showcases/camps. This list is bound to expand as we journey on the 24’s high school careers and will continue to grow as we finish each season.
