Siegal is indeed a throwback to when coaching was everything – and to find an entire staff spending the night watching and breaking down film – with empty pizza boxes – was certainly nothing new.
Before there were year-round camps, combines and 7-on-7 events, there was Siegal – teaching and coaching at every level and in every location.
Today, he is in Panama City, giving North Bay Haven a little taste of the big time, exposing players to every event – whether it’s in South Carolina or South Beach. He knows the route to the next level – and is helping his own players get there.
What Siegal continues to do is give the Panama City area some special guests, camps, instruction and a taste of what he has learned through the decades.
While developing is always key, his Buccaneers are coming off a 3-7 record during the pandemic season of 2020 – and while he has a number of seniors coming back, this program is building a solid underclass – with several players are already making an impact.
That Class of 2022 senior group starts with impressive and FBS prospect Ayden Leon (OL, 6-5, 270 – 4.-0 GPA), who brings it all to the table and was singled out by a longtime scout for being an “under the radar” talent. His on field play along with his amazing work in the classroom is amazing.
In addition, the Buccaneers also boast impressive rusher Gabe Anderson (OLB/WR, 6-2, 208 – 3.8 GPA, 31 ACT), Lynn Haven Mosley transfer Cal Corbin Cal Corbin 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH North Bay Haven | 2022 FL (DB, 5-11, 170 – 3.3 GPA), Texas transfer Adrian Dickens (DB, 5-9, 150 – 3.6 GPA) and two (lacrosse) sport athlete Sam Dickerson (SS/RB, 5-11, 194 – 3.4 GPA).
The Class of 2022 also boasts first year player Airon Kilgore (DB, 5-10, 170 – 2.9 GPA), who has played basketball, Ian Murell (OL/DL, 6-2, 300 – 3.5 GPA), second year prospect Cam Nolte (WR/K/P, 6-1, 170 – 3.6 GPA), a soccer standout, run/pass quarterback Chad Watts (5-10, 150 – 3.6 GPA) and old school player Nate Webb (FB, 5-10, 215 – 3.8 GPA).
THE NEED FOR YOUNGER PLAYERS
Having a core of seniors – some with experience – the need to use younger prospects will be vital. Class 2023 performers Brandon Burnhan (OL/DL, 5-11, 280) and Aiden Guyne (DB, 5-11, 140) – and Class of 2024 rising talent Admaldo DeOlivera (DL, 6-2, 300).
The Class of 2025 (incoming freshmen) also have some impressive talent that this team will use for years to come. Players such as Ryan Bailey (OL/DL, 6-3, 230), Quinton Baker (OL/DL, 6-1, 300), Lakota Johnson (QB, 5-10, 140), Logan McAlister (OL/DL, 6-2, 225), Tommy Robideau (OL/DL, 6-3, 220), Emmanuel Spurlock (LB/DL, 6-0, 230) and versatile Jaden Spurlock (RB/DB, 6-0, 180).
