Brandon Hylton Brandon Hylton 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB Gov. Thomas Johnson | 2022 MD /6-1/210/Governor Thomas Johnson
Hylton was fortunate to play his junior year of football. He plays in a spread offense and that means he’s usually taking snaps out of the shotgun. I love the way Hylton scans the field for an open receiver and does not just lock in on his first target. Give credit to his offensive line for giving him the time to scan the field and make the correct through. Hylton usually sets up and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. HIs speed rollout is effective because he can beat defensive ends to the edge and that puts the linebackers at a disadvantage. He has decent size. The jury is still out on whether he can make plays past the line of scrimmage with his legs. He certainly seems like a pass-first type of quarterback.
Calvin House Calvin House 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Meade | 2022 State MD /5-11/185/Meade
Meade had a limited amount of highlights but I was able to take notice of a few things. He shows good touch on his fade throws and on his short throws in the middle. There’s a few plays where he shows that he can make plays with his legs. The majority of throws in his highlights are outside of the hash. I’d like to see how he looks when throwing the football down the hashes. I do think he needs to set up in the pocket with more urgency.
Josh Ehrlich Josh Ehrlich 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Broadneck | 2022 State MD /6-0/175/Broadneck
Ehrlich passed for 652 yards, 11 touchdowns, four interceptions, and ran for 250 yards and three touchdowns in four games last season. The speed with which he sets up in the pocket with is impressive. His highlights give you a great idea of how good he is at escaping pressure. Ehrlich has some wheels, so he doesn’t mind escaping the pocket and running for yardage if he has to. I will say that it looks like he is a little frantic in the pocket and needs to slow it down just a little. Again, that could be due to the face he’s facing a lot of pressure from the opponent’s defensive line in some of his highlights.
Jordan Morse Jordan Morse 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Rock Creek Academy | 2022 State MD /6-2/205/Rock Creek Academy
Morse could not play during the 2020-201 season due to his school not playing during the pandemic. Despite not playing his junior year of football, Marshall has been able to earn a Division I offer. Marshall offered him on Jun. 29.
