As the Orlando Evans Trojans came out of spring and headed to summer, there was one thing on the mind of every player and coach – outwork everyone!
Lang’s success as a head coach in Orange County and at the college level has given him a dose of reality, but at the same time, the understanding that if you win, the student/athletes will stay, and of course, come in.
Getting this program exposure meant attending as many college events as possible – and from Tampa to Miami and everywhere else, the Trojans traveled and provided an opportunity for many of the prospects to get attention from college coaches.
As the countdown starts for the 2021 season, the Trojans and Lang will count on the senior class – and there are some impressive prospects ready to go.
Among those seniors is gifted safety Markeith Williams Markeith Williams 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB Orlando Evans | 2022 State FL (6-2, 170). Already on the radar the past two years, this quality football talent is getting looks from plenty of programs, looking for a prospect who can make an impact – right away.
In addition to Williams, Evans has some other impressive Class of 2022 standouts – such as Nathaniel Alexis (OL, 6-4, 270), Felix Barrington (WR, 6-4, 200), Jimmie Brown (S, 6-1, 180), Henry Calixte (TE, 6-4, 225), Zi Fagan (OL, 6-4, 305), Julian Forte (WR, 6-1, 175) and linebacker Tyler Jones (5-11, 185).
Also, the Trojans will have Jamcy Laplante (LB, 5-10, 200), Elmy Morales (OL, 6-2, 280), Darius Polite (OL, 6-5, 275), Jerry Rollins (CB, 5-11, 165), Jeremiah Simms (RB, 5-11, 183), Brad Sinanan (OLB, 6-1, 190), Jiaquinn Stinson (OLB, 5-10, 185) and cornerback Joshua Tetteh (5-8, 140).
THE UNDERCLASSMEN WILL BE NEEDED
If the Trojans are going to progress, having a competitive group of underclassmen will be essential, and changing the “culture” of this program will come down to how many Class of 2023 and 2024 athletes can make a contribution.
Class of 2023 football talent such as Neville Brown (OL, 6-2, 265), Dawens Clovil (K, 5-9, 160), Robert Coleman (WR, 5-10, 160), Abraham Gaines Jr. (OLB, 5-10, 195), Anton Holland Anton Holland 6'2" | 225 lbs | DL Orlando Evans | 2023 FL (OLB, 6-2, 190), Dexter Jones (Athlete, 5-10, 215), Handy Lazarre (DL, 6-1, 245), T.J. Massey T.J. Massey 5'11" | 195 lbs | WR Orlando Evans | 2023 FL (WR, 6-1, 170) and safety Jamarius Nobles (6-1, 170) are all ready for the challenge.
In addition, the junior class will also have Lucio Mesidor (WR, 5-10, 170), Antiquan Neal (LB, 6-2, 210), Eric Peterson (S, 6-0, 190), Tyran Schank (Athlete, 5-10, 160), Michelson Solitaire (K, 5-9, 165), Chris St. Jean (OL, 6-7, 310), Kelvin Tobie (DL, 6-3, 205) and running back Wilson Toussaint (5-10, 190).
If the future is to be as bright as Coach Lang and the Trojans hope it will be, Class of 2024 standouts Gaboreius Baldwin (RB, 5-10, 190), Antoine Demps (WR, 6-1, 185), Christian Hall (QB, 6-1, 175), Brandon Jacob (S, 6-2, 180), Chris Peterson (QB, 6-1, 170), Zion Rouse (Athlete, 6-2, 170) and defensive tackle Jermaine Thomas (6-0, 205) will be needed to step up often during the 2021 season.
