It all starts at the quarterback position for the Eagles, where they return senior quarterback Todd Raredon Todd Raredon 6'4" | 155 lbs | QB Hudsonville | 2022 MI . A team having experience at quarterback is huge. This is especially important when entering the playoffs. The Eagles also return star wide receiver, Dylan Ham Dylan Ham 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Hudsonville | 2022 MI . Ham is a tremendous player who is dangerous with the ball in his hands. Dylan Ham Dylan Ham 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Hudsonville | 2022 MI looks ready for the season as he continues to make long touchdown catches at 7 on 7s (Hudl). Eli Vanderveen is another talented wide receiver that should make a big impact on the Eagles in 2021. Vanderveen is a tall receiver who looks ready to go as he continues to make great catches in summer 7 on 7s (Hudl).
The key for the Hudsonville Eagle’s success on defense starts at the linebacker position where they return middle linebacker, Matt Hoekstra. Hoekstra demonstrates good speed and instincts when he shoots gaps and tackles ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage (Hudl). Outside linebacker Ben Louis is another key returner on defense for the Eagles. Louis has an ideal size at 6-3. Ben Louis is great at rushing the passer. He combines a ton of power to take on any size blocker (Hudl). The Eagles held opponents to just 18 points per game in 2020. Playing well offensively and continuing the trend of not giving up a lot of points on defense will lead to more success in the 2021 season.
