Grabbing the Spotlight: Kaden Henley Linebacker Shiloh Christian
In this article:
One prospect that is expected to have a monster season is linebacker Kaden Henley Kaden Henley 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Shiloh Christian | 2022 State AR from Shiloh Christian High School. Over the past year, Henley has been an extremely busy and productive prospect. We are going to take a look at one of the best linebacker prospects to come through the state of Arkansas in some time.
After winning a state championship last season, Henley has continued the strong work ethic and continued to work in the weight room and on the practice field. For opposing offenses, the thought of Henley wanting to surpass last season’s performance must be unsettling. During his career, Henley has racked up 302 tackles, 8 sacks, 5 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 recovered fumbles. Building off of two seasons is going to be a realistic goal and one I think he will accomplish rather easily.
However, some goals must be accomplished from a team perspective before the season kicks off. From a team perspective, the first goal is to continue to build team chemistry and become closer as a team. The work the Saints put in the meeting room, the weight room, and on the practice field help build that chemistry that is extremely important for deep playoff runs. The ultimate goal from the Saints are wanting to accomplish this season is winning back-to-back state championships. Meanwhile, from the individual perspective Henley wants to improve on last season’s performance. The young man always is around the football and in on every tackle, so every goal we have discussed is reachable and achievable.
Moving along to examining the recruitment of the Saints’ linebacker. Henley has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks, and he informed last week “that the commitment is solid, and he wants to wear the Razorback red.” Henley has taken his official visit to Arkansas, and he has been recruiting players like Nico Davillier Nico Davillier 6'3" | 275 lbs | DL Maumelle | 2022 State AR out of Maumelle to join him in Fayetteville on the defensive side of the ball. The rest of the summer Henley will continue to work in the weight room and continue to build the team chemistry. The bottom line is that Henley has the potential to have a spectacular season and by all accounts he should see the field for the Razorbacks soon. He will not be outworked, and Henley will be lighting up opponents in the SEC very soon.
