After a rough season that was under the cloud of the pandemic, the Bears finished 5-3, losing in the playoffs to 1A power Madison County.
What head coach LB Cravey and his team learned this past season was the losses to Madison County, Newberry and Union County all went a long way in helping this program have a solid spring and summer.
Coach Cravey, who begins his eighth season on staff, looks to make it to the state playoffs for the third straight year.
Those victories against Williston, Chiefland, Trenton, Gainesville PK Yonge and longtime rival Lafayette certainly helped this senior class mature and take leadership roles.
Leading the way in that senior class is recent Florida A&M commitment Braden Hall (WR/CB, 6-3, 170). This gifted young man is talented on both sides of the ball – and will be a huge factor in 2021.
In addition, the Bears will feature Paras Clines (OLB, 6-1, 215), Mikayl Walker (TB/LB), Chris Staples (FB/RB, 5-10, 185) and two-way standout Kolton Hunt (RB/FS, 5-9, 180).
SERIOUS ABOUT THE FUTURE.
Not only are the seniors looking to make an impact this coming season, but Class of 2023 standouts will set the table for the future as well.
Look for gifted Brett Nettles (QB, 5-9, 160) and two-way lineman Javarion Henry (6-4, 295) to give this team a huge spark as well.
With the rest of the summer to continue working, here is a program that has been winning for a long time – and those close to the Bears believe that those days are coming back.
