With a class that was affected by the pandemic in a major way, there is never going to be enough exposure of these gifted athletes, who missed out on two consecutive springs where colleges could watch them grow and mature, but this season ahead – along with the month during the summer – could be a major help.
With that in mind, we take a look at some quality defensive secondary performers who haven’t received the spotlight they deserve.
Tyreak Allen Tyreak Allen 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB Bradenton Manatee | 2022 FL , FS, 6-0, 185, Bradenton Manatee. This is yet another of the many gifted prospects the Hurricanes have produced through the years. A quality ballhawk who is all over the field, making it almost impossible for anyone to benefit out of coming his way. Can cover and tackle – and before you snap the ball, you better have a great idea where he may be. Solid young man.

Websley Etienne Websley Etienne DB Davie Western | 2022 FL , S, 6-0, 185, Davie Western. When the University of Buffalo received a commitment from this impressive talent, they knew exactly what they were getting. This prospect has competed with – and against some of the best prospects in the nation. He has always associated himself with people who are going to make a major impact in his career – and as he heads into the 2021 season, all eyes will be watching this gifted secondary performer.

Jaydon Hodge Jaydon Hodge 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Ocala Forest | 2022 FL , S, 6-1, 175, Ocala Trinity Catholic. Makes his way over for his final season from nearby Ocala Forest, and as you will find out when watching him play, this is a true talent that many had not talked about. Here is a very talented football player who is not afraid to stick his helmet into the action. As opponents will find out, this is one athletic young man who is ready for a huge season on a team that is indeed one of the best in the region this coming season.

Tremel States-Jones Tremel States-Jones DB Clearwater Academy International | 2022 FL , 6-0, 195, Clearwater Academy International. Yet another physical talent who does plenty for this program – and that’s why many believe he is way under the radar. Whether it’s as a safety or in coverage, he has everything it takes to be special. Is also a quality kick returner, which adds to the total package that recruiters are always looking for. This is a talent who has enhanced himself throughout the off-season.

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren Emmanuel McNeil-Warren 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB St. Petersburg Lakewood | 2022 FL , FS, 6-3.5, 185, St. Petersburg Lakewood. When you happen to be just shy of 6-foot-4, you almost pray that quarterbacks will throw in your direction, and that is exactly what this impressive talent did this past spring and into the summer. A gifted athlete who can play on both sides of the ball, this is truly the kind of prospect you want as part of your program. Huge season ahead. He will surprise you how gifted and athletic he is.
