This has come from further evaluation, performance in camps, and overall comparison to the prospects within their class. A few of the players whose stock has risen, also comes from the fact that they have been discovered and added to our list. Others, who we will discuss below, have been found to have talent that is too undeniable to leave at their previous ranking. Their overall performance, developmental ability, and talent has been viewed to be at a higher level than those in which were previously ranked above them. This is largely due to upside, and expectation in how they will translate to the next level. Below, you will see a few of these prospects who can be viewed as a perfect example of this, even if it means that they only climbed up a few slots.
Deyon Bouie Deyon Bouie 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Bainbridge | 2022 State GA (ATH)- Bainbridge
After further evaluation, even in comparison to some of the top ranked players in the state, we felt it was appropriate to move Bouie’s ranking from 4th in the state, to 3rd. While this may be one spot, it’s adjustment speaks volumes to his level of talent. The way he moves with fluidity, burst, and explosiveness is elite to say the very least, as we love the way he is able to react naturally, and move like a college football player. He does a good job of high pointing the football, and the way that he uses his twitch, and change of direction is rare for a player of his age. He is without a doubt one of the best 5 star talents in the country, and the way he runs routes, runs out of the backfield, and makes plays is one of a kind due to how effortless, yet effective it is.
Kojo Antwi Kojo Antwi 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Lambert | 2022 State GA (WR)- Lambert
Kojo is a long, twitchy, and quick WR. His speed, and the way he beats defenders is uncommon amongst his class. He catches the ball cleanly, and tracks the ball with his eyes at an elite level. He makes big plays after the catch, and we love the way he is able to high point the football, catch and go, break down on his routes, and use his feet to gain separation. All in all, we think he is a unique talent. His frame is developmental, and the way he attacks the game at his position is great to see at his age. Because of this, it should come as no shocker that he is committed to Ohio State, further justifying our re-ranking of him from 15th overall, to 9th in the 2022 class
De’Nylon Morrissette De’Nylon Morrissette 6'1" | 200 lbs | WR Brookwood | 2022 State GA (WR)- Brookwood
Perhaps one of the reasons in which we moved Morrissette from 21st overall, to 19th overall, is due to the fact that when you pair his length, speed, explosiveness, and big play ability, you begin to notice that he is easily one of the top developmental players in the state. He will most definitely dominate at UGA in a couple of years. His ability to use his stick move, and change of direction out of his breaks is top notch, and separating from defenders comes very natural to him. He is a fluid runner, with great body control, and the way he catches the ball with strong hands is great to see. He not only catches the ball in contested situations, but he also does a good job of catching the ball from various angles, and when it may seem to be out of reach. Morrissette also does a good job of fighting for extra yards, and displaying the traits you want to see at the next level. Because of this, and the fact that not many players can compete the way he does with his ability, we felt it was fitting to bump him up in the rankings.
Bennett Christian Bennett Christian 6'6" | 235 lbs | TE Alatoona | 2022 State GA (TE)- Allatoona
Bennett Christian Bennett Christian 6'6" | 235 lbs | TE Alatoona | 2022 State GA undoubtedly climbed our rankings from 36th overall, to 30th overall due to his solid performance, and the way that his ability to play the TE position stands out among others in his class, and in the state. Not only does he have strong hands, but he plays with good body control. This body control, and strength in his movements can be seen when he is running routes, and taking on blocks. Christian stands at a tall 6’6, 235 pounds, and he moves very fluidly for a player his size. His footwork is great for his size and age, and his frame is developmental as well. He takes on blocks well, and finds ways to gain separation when running routes. This in itself is impressive, and uncommon. Typically, elite TE’s possess these skills. Because of this, in comparison to multiple prospects on our list, we felt it was fitting that he moved up the rankings. Besides, it should come as no surprise that a player of this caliber has found himself as a commit to Ohio State. That speaks for itself as well.
