Offensive Spotlight
Deacon Boyce Deacon Boyce 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Richland | 2022 WA , WR, 5’10″ 175lbs, Richland ’22
Boyce did a good job on both sides of the ball for Richland during his junior campaign. He can improve overall as a route runner, but flashed the ability to set up DB’s with his hips and a slight head movement. He did his best work lined up in the slot, as he possesses solid hands and tracks the ball well in the air. He showcased solid field awareness along the boundary to work the sidelines and keep a foot in bounds. He was utilized throughout the whole route tree and he held a big role in the Richland receiving corps. He’s a willing blocker with excellent technique, and displayed a good understanding of assignments. One of his blocks actually landed him on NFL Network as he won the “NFL Way To Play Award”. He played both ways for Richland as holds solid ball skills on both sides of the ball. He’s a dual-sport athlete as he also plays baseball for Richland, and holds 3.78 GPA.

Defensive Spotlight
Noah Ruiz, DL, 6’0″ 230lbs, Spanaway Lake ’23
Ruiz impressed this season on both the offensive and defensive line and held a significant role as a sophomore. He has good versatility along the DL and can make an impact from multiple positions in different schemes. He shows violent hands and did a great job utilizing them to make his way into opponents backfields. Good functional strength for a 2023 kid and flashes athleticism behind his strength. Ruiz is strong at the POA and is a solid tackler overall. He is an aggressive kid and plays with a mean streak and holds solid potential to develop into a very good offensive or defensive lineman. He’s flashed good balance and lateral agility on both sides of the ball as well. He’s a hard worker in the offseason and is doing all the right things. Big time standout as an OL as well as he was awarded “1st Team PCL All-League OL”. Ruiz currently holds a 3.2 GPA and will be a potential player to get on your radar next season as a junior.
