Every player listed in the rankings made the best of their shortened season, earning their way under the spotlight and being selected as the top in their positions.
This senior class has quite a few talented athletes with serious college potential. In fact, two of the players listed have already committed to Division I universities. Every player on this list has next level talent written all over them.
Anthony Costanzo Anthony Costanzo 6'3" | 210 lbs | ATH Palmer Ridge | 2022 State CO | Palmer Ridge | 6’3”, 210lbs
Costanzo has been considered as one of the state’s top athletes for quite some time now. He has excellent mobility and speed for a player his size, making him a serious threat on both sides of the ball. His length, awareness, and athleticism allow for him to track the ball in the air and make unstoppable plays as a safety and a wide receiver. Costanzo recently announced his commitment to UNLV.
Dominick Nichols Dominick Nichols 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Pomona | 2022 State CO | Pomona | 5’11, 175lbs
Nichols is arguably one of the most underrated athletes in the state. He has shown serious potential as a shifty three-down running back, a secondary-torching slot receiver, and a ball-hawking defensive back. Nichols consistently raises his stock value by embodying the front-and-center type of player who grabs the attention of college coaches at camps.
Dallas Macias Dallas Macias 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Regis Jesuit | 2022 State CO | Regis Jesuit | 6’0”, 180lbs
Macias is a top athlete in football and baseball. He is a speedy safety who possesses great field awareness and strength that enable him to effectively pursue ball carriers and deliver punishing hits. His athleticism and vision make him extremely dangerous when the ball is in his hands as a returner and a receiver. Early in his sophomore year, Macias announced his verbal commitment to Oregon State for baseball.
Eli Hubert Eli Hubert 5'11" | ATH Silver Creek | 2022 State CO | Silver Creek | 5’10”, 170lbs
Hubert is a shifty athlete with deceptive speed that makes him a dangerous returner and wide receiver. He has the ability to run past the secondary on fade routes and run through the defense on underneath routes. Hubert is an under-the-radar type of player with serious upside to his stock value.
Cash Cheeks Cash Cheeks 6'5" | 185 lbs | ATH Mesa Ridge | 2022 State CO | Mesa Ridge | 6’5”, 185lbs
Cheeks is a do-all Swiss Army Knife athlete that is as rare as they come. He has shown his talents at the quarterback position, as well as receiver and defensive back. As a receiver, Cheeks is the ideal target for any offensive scheme looking to stretch the defense downfield.
