However, you also had representatives from Ohio, Texas, Minnesota, South Carolina and California in attendance. You can view my part one observations of this week’s camp by clicking here.
Donnell Johnson III – Flanagan
He calls himself “Big Country” on twitter and that is no lie. 2022 Donnell Johnson III checks in a shade under 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds. The defensive tackle tied for the team lead in TFLs with ten and recorded two sacks last season. Johnson uses his size and power to shed blockers and make stops in the backfield. Regardless, he can cause a fissure behind the line of scrimmage and allow his teammates to make stops due to the push on his assignment. Johnson will likely cause a ton of third-and-long situations. He is also a very good student with a 3.5 GPA. Johnson has been offered by Army, Northern Illinois and UCF. You can check out his highlights by clicking here.
Jeremiah Shack Jeremiah Shack 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Jacksonville Mandarin | 2023 State FL – Mandarin
2023 Jeremiah Shack Jeremiah Shack 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Jacksonville Mandarin | 2023 State FL is a high quality athlete out of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wide receiver is a big target with an 82.5-inch wingspan and 9-inch hands. Quarterbacks will love to throw him the football with his frame. Shack appears smooth in his route running and comes clean out of his breaks. He has been offered by FAU, Georgia, Miami and Mississippi State. He caught a nice 49-yard touchdown against Sandalwood High School in a 28-14 win.
Caleb Harris – Everglades High School
Caleb Harris tested out well for a prospect that has yet to play at the high school level. The 2025 offensive lineman recorded a 77-inch wingspan. Harris is also 6-foot-2 and 234 pounds. Therefore, he is already going to have a base of size when he puts his hand in the ground. Harris should be on your radar for the Gators in Miramar.
Tanner Helton – North Fort Myers
2024 Tanner Helton is big kid on the Gulf Coast side of the state. The 6-foot-4 1/2 inch, 195-pound quarterback has a bright future for the Red Knights. Helton has a high release point and a 77-inch wingspan. He throws a nice deep ball and was hitting his targets at the camp. Helton has the prototypical tools you would want out of your signal caller. He also has a bit of mobility that should only improve. The door should be open for him with the graduations of quarterbacks Tavin Ward and Luke Leongas. Helton also holds a 4.0 GPA. He has bright future in my book. Check out his highlights by clicking here.
Patrick Stepelton Patrick Stepelton 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 FL – Cardinal Gibbons
2023 Patrick Stepelton Patrick Stepelton 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 FL is an intriguing prospect for a number of reasons. First off, the quarterback turned wide receiver has good size at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. In addition, his transition leads me to believe he is a smart football player that can pick things up quickly. I also think Stepelton can use his background knowledge as a quarterback to help him as a pass catcher. Areas like timing, field awareness, and communication come to mind. Stepelton ran a 4.81 40 and has 9.5-inch hands. He should be a reliable receiver that drops few passes for the Chiefs. I also think Stepelton will also contribute as a blocker. Overall, my sense is just hungry to contribute and make plays on the field. Stepelton holds a 4.4 GPA in the classroom.
