This is a dual-threat quarterback prospect with impressive top-end speed. Zamora shows subtle footwork in the pocket and has pinpoint accuracy on the go ball. He can improvise when the pocket collapses and can speed up his release when the defenses bring pressure. He’s the most highly touted prospect on this list, and for good reason. Zamora is a great fit in a wide-open spread offense that looks to utilize the quarterback run game.
Jackson Esary Jackson Esary 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Kalama | 2022 State WA , 6’3, 205, Kalama
The raw arm talent that Esary displayed on tape is pretty special in its own right. He’s at his best when improvising and can be a serious threat when he gets outside the pocket. His off-platform throws were ridiculous, even making one with a defender wrapped around his ankle. He’s as tough as it gets as a runner and will lower his shoulder on any opponent. Esary is a no-brainer FBS talent to me, based on his playmaking ability and uncharacteristic arm strength.
Trent Nobach Trent Nobach 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Arlington | 2022 State WA , 6’2, 185, Arlington
Nobach is a talented anticipatory thrower who can drop the ball right over inside linebackers in zone coverage. He’s shown consistent ball placement on vertical concepts and does a great job recognizing coverages pre-snap. He will work through his progression and won’t lock onto a single receiver. He’s deadly as an intermediate thrower and will eat up zone coverage at any point.
Joshua Wood Joshua Wood 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Graham-Kapowsin | 2022 State WA , 6’3, 180, Graham-Kapowsin
On film, you’ll see an intelligent quarterback prospect who uses his eyes to fool opposing safeties. Wood is a strong timing thrower with spectacular ball placement. Wood is patient in the pocket and won’t see ghosts & try to get out too early. He consistently keeps his eyes downfield when leaving the pocket and can pick up yards on the ground if you don’t respect his legs.
Nate Beck Nate Beck 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Kentlake | 2022 State WA , 5’11, 165, Kentlake
This southpaw shows the ability to attack any coverage and can work all three parts of the field. Don’t let his size fool you; this young man has plenty of arm strength and will challenge any defense if you don’t respect his ability. Beck is outstanding throwing on the move and will make a defense pay if they don’t lock on during the scramble drill. He does a good job quickly setting his feet under pressure and driving his hips to get plenty of velocity behind his throws.
Isaac Looker Isaac Looker 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Rogers | 2022 State WA , 6’3, 205, Rogers
A pocket passer with a lightning-quick release. The football jumps out of Looker’s hand, and he will consistently hit his targets right on the numbers. He’s shown the ability to throw out of multiple arm angles and doesn’t get rattled against the rush. He’s an extremely quick processor and knows where to go with the football when the defense brings pressure. He’s even willing to challenge cover 2 and throws a solid hole shot.
Luke Abshire Luke Abshire 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Central Valley | 2022 State WA , 6’2, 170, Central Valley
This young man has some serious zip on his ball and can zing it between a linebacker & safety. Abshire shows a compact release and a fade ball that looks almost second nature. He’s shown good wiggle in the pocket against free-rushers and the ability to step up and pick up a first down with his legs. As a runner, he’s fantastic on called QB iso & zone-read concepts.
Payton Accetturo Payton Accetturo 6'2" | 215 lbs | QB Auburn Riverside | 2022 State WA , 6’2, 230, Auburn-Riverside
There was plenty of production from Mr. Accetturo; in just three games, he completed 66% of his passes for 1,000 yards & 11 touchdowns. On tape, he excels throwing vertically downfield and can put enough air under the ball for his targets to run underneath it. He’s deadly off RPO’s and can alter his arm slot to avoid blitzers.
