In todays game, tight ends are difficult to come by, but this list puts into light the players who still do the dirty work of blocking with aggression, as well as sneaking out on play action passes, bracing for the big hits. These are still the players who create some of the best mismatches on the field, and who can be absolute game changers when asked to do so. Riordan has soft hands, catching everything thrown his way and is fearless coming across the middle. He even lines up in the slot at times and there is not much a smaller defensive back or linebacker can do to cover him. Riordan shows great extension and concentration, putting his catch radius on display. He is a physical player who can put his hand in the dirt and provide key blocks as well as show his comfort out in space. Riordan was named First Team All-District and currently holds an offer from Kansas.   [player_tooltip player_id="131858" first="Jordan" last="Green"] - Fort Worth Christian Green is a very skilled player at the tight end position with great athletic ability. He has great hands and is tremendously in the ability to run after a catch. Green is a big body, standing 6’5, and provides a deep threat and big redzone option for his team. Green can line up in the slot as well as the outside and shows much comfort in space. He has incredible range and shows good blocking skills when asked to do so. Green is a player who you get the ball to when the opportunity is there, and let him take care of the rest. He is a very talented player with a bright future. Green currently holds an offer from Liberty University.   [player_tooltip player_id="131859" first="Cade" last="Jensen"] - Flower Mound Jensen is a player who does all of the little things right and is a player you would definitely want on your team. Jensen can line up anywhere he is asked and gets the job done. He lines up in the slot, on the line, and also an the H-back and provides an excellent lead block for his running back. Jensen sells the play action to perfection, running into the flat route and getting the yards needed to move the chains. Jensen has good hands and does not shy away from contact whatsoever. With his 6’6 frame, Jensen is a player who can dominate whoever is lined up against him. His blocking skills are tremendous. Jensen moves he feet very well and shows that he is as good of a pass blocker as he is a run blocker. Jensen is a name to remember. He is a special talent at this position who will only continue to develop into a better player.   [player_tooltip player_id="131860" first="Rafe" last="Clendenin"] - Brandeis Clendenin is another sure handed, physical athlete with great quickness and speed. He is athletic enough to play in the slot but also shows great strength coming across the middle. Clendenin possesses the speed to capitalize on a defenses mistake. Any false steps or eyes in the backfield for too long, he is already sprinting passed you. He runs fearlessly down the seam, welcoming any defender who can stay with him to try to make a play. Clendenin catches the ball with much confidence and does well running after the catch. Even though he may not be listed as the biggest, he plays as if he is. Clendenin is aggressive on blocks, driving defenders to the ground and opening lanes for his backs. I believe that Clendenin will have an exceptional upcoming season and will prove why he is on this list. Davis is a big bodied target at 6’4, 250 pounds, and is what I like to call a punisher. He plays the game with much aggression and physicality, and if you are not locked into the game, Davis will easily put you in the turf. He pancakes defenders like he is an offensive lineman, but has the hands of a number one receiver. He has great hands and basically lives in the endzone. Davis shows great athleticism and concentration on his catches, unbothered by anybody who challenges him. Davis is physical after the catch, finishing off defenders by lowering his shoulder usually delivering the blow. Davis continues work on his craft and his potential is extremely high. He is a very talented player who has drawn much attention, holding six offers currently with more on the way.
