Over the years the peach state has produced NFL-caliber defensive linemen including Derrick Brown, Grady Jarrett, Stephon Tuitt, Leonard Floyd, and many more. The state is incredibly deep along the defensive line in the 2022 class, led by 5-star DE Mykel Williams Mykel Williams 6'5" | 255 lbs | DL Hardaway | 2022 State GA . The 2023 class also has multiple defensive linemen who could push for five-star status, and now we’re seeing some 2024 prospects start to reel in some big offers.
There’s a lot of young talent coming up through the peach state once again, so here are a few 2024 defensive linemen to know about as they enter their junior seasons this fall…
Hevin Brown-Shuler Hevin Brown-Shuler 6'5" | 270 lbs | DL Pace Academy | 2024 State GA – Pace Academy
Easily one of the top 2024 prospects in the country, Brown-Shuler is a great looking defensive lineman at 6-foot-5 260-pounds with impressive athleticism for his size. He’s thick, strong, and moves incredibly well for his size. He’s quick off the ball giving him an advantage over just about every opposing lineman he’s up against. He’s quick enough to shoot the gaps and blow up a play in the backfield, and he’s strong enough to get off blocks and drive his man backwards as well. He can win battles in a number of different ways and is still growing and learning each day. He has all the tools necessary to become one of the top prospects nationally in his class. He was excellent during drills at the Atlanta Under Armour Camp in March and looked just as good as some of the older linemen in attendance. He made 29 tackles last year and holds offers from Georgia, Florida State, Arkansas, among others.
Omar White Omar White 6'3" | 305 lbs | DL Lee County | 2024 State GA – Lee County
Looking for a big-time rising sophomore in South Georgia? White is your guy. The big 6-foot-3 305-pound nose guard more than held his own against some top upperclassmen last year and won more than his fair share of battles in the middle of the trenches. White is big, powerful, and has plays with tenacity. He’s bigger and stronger than most his age and he’s already becoming one of the top young defenders in the area. It’s tough to fine freshman who can battle it out in the trenches, but that’s exactly what White did last year. He was part of an outstanding Lee County defensive line last year and is expected to have an even bigger year as a sophomore this fall. The impressive interior lineman holds offers from Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, among others.
Antonio White Antonio White 6'2" | 175 lbs | ATH PArkview | 2024 State GA – Lovejoy
Another talented lineman with D1 offers, Boireau looked unstoppable last season as a freshman for Lovejoy. Even at such a young age, Boireau was an imposing presence at 6-foot-5 300-pounds who knows how to win 1-on-1 battles in the middle of the line of scrimmage. He’s quick off the ball for his size and knows how to deliver a hit when making a tackle. He has the size, raw power, and natural instincts for the position and has some really impressive film from his freshman year. As he continues to transform his body and work on his technique and fundamentals, Boireau has a chance to reel in even more major offers. He currently holds offers from Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee.
