All of these guys standout in more than one way, and are doing everything they can to draw in that attention. The best way to show coaches what you can do is to never come off the field, and that’s exactly what most of these guys are doing. Take a look at 5 dynamic players in the C/O ’22 that you need to know:
Ashaki Davis Ashaki Davis 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Hazen | 2022 State WA , ATH, 5’10″ 170lbs, Rainier Beach HS
Davis does it all for Rainier Beach, and is a big time player on both sides of the ball and special teams. He shown the ability to play and produce at WR, Slot, CB, Safety, KR, and PR and is as electric as they come. He tracks the hips of receivers well in man coverage and shows good hand placement to punch through for PBU’s. He has a nice break on the ball for ball hawk ability, and sheds blocks well to make tackles with a low POC. Excellent twitch and they love to get him the ball in space with bubbles and jet sweeps. He will make anyone miss with his change of direction and shiftiness, and displays solid top end speed. He’s a willing blocker as well and an extremely dynamic football player all across the board.
Dallas Daley Dallas Daley 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Eastside Catholic | 2022 State WA , ATH, 6’2″ 215lbs, Eastside Catholic HS
Daley does a great job on both sides of the ball as well, as he’s been a major contributor at TE, Slot, and LB for Eastside Catholic. He sizes up with a nice frame and holds functional strength. He displays a nice reaction at LB and is strong at the point of contact with a good striking ability. On the offensive side of the ball, he’s a clean route runner from TE or slot and has deceptive speed. Strong, athletic hands to secure the catch and then brings his physicality after the catch to pick up extra chunks of yards and run through opponents. He’s a powerful, willing blocker in the run game with big potential going forward.
Tristan Warner Tristan Warner 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Bellarmine Prep | 2022 State WA , QB/DB, 6’1″ 185lbs, Bellarmine Prep
Warner is a stud on both sides of the ball for Bellarmine with the potential to play either QB or DB at the next level. He is excellent in run support, as he closes well as a tacker with a low POC. He has solid range with his speed to cover ground well and make plays sideline to sideline as a 1-high safety. He times blitzes well and has flashed the ability to be quick off the edges. At QB, he fits throws in with excellent touch and placement. He’s shown the ability to deliver throws under pressure often, as the run a lot of play action from under center. Strong escape artist that can make defenses pay with his legs and holds big play ability when he decides to take off.
Liam Mallory Liam Mallory 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Union | 2022 State WA , WR/DB, 6’2″ 180lbs, Union HS
Mallory comes off a very short season due to a season ending ACL tear, but his past production is off the charts. His sophomore season, he hauled in 31 receptions for 507 yards and 10 TD’s, while adding a huge 10 INT’s on defense. Big time ball hawk in the secondary that that reads the QB’s eyes well and baits them into throws. He diagnoses routes and concepts well and shows a good break on the ball. At WR, he’s shown the ability to win contested catches, and possesses solid body control. He tracks the ball well and has strong ball skills all around. 2021 projects to be a big bounce back year for Mallory.
Wesley Garrett Wesley Garrett 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Kamiak | 2022 State WA , WR, 5’11″ 180lbs, Kamiak HS
Garrett is a big time player for Kamiak. He is dangerous with the ball in his hands and has shown the ability to be a threat at X/Z, slot, and as a return man. He shows good vision and balance as a ball carrier on jet sweeps, with solid speed to finish big runs. He is elusive in tight spaces showing solid lateral agility and change of direction. He’s shifty to make opponents miss and a solid all-around athlete. Garrett displays a nice initial burst off the LOS and tracks the ball in well. He finished the year with 466 total yards with 7 TD’s in just 4 games played. Projects to have a huge senior campaign.
