The spread offense has made playing these positions fun again because of how the spread offense has morphed from the traditional spread. The spread offense has been run multiple ways and because of this it opened doors for kids to be great and even show off.
Jackson Morse Jackson Morse 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR Central Arkansas Christian | 2022 State AR – 2022 Class- WR Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs
Jackson is 6’3 and weighs in at a solid 185 pounds. Jackson has big hands and a high motor. Jackson spent his sophomore season in a learning phase. Jackson learned what he was good at and made it his own. On film, Jackson frustrated defenses with his ability to find the soft spot in the zone. One should not judge Jackson on his total catches (27), yards (294), but instead his yards per catch (10.9) and when Jackson found that soft spot in the zone more times than not it was past the sticks. The other route Jackson ran as good as I have seen anyone run with success is the comeback route. Jackson ran it so well the down and distance was not an issue because he learned how to judge it perfectly to get separation, make the catch, and move the sticks. His height makes him a large target for the Quarterback and helps Jackson catch the high jump balls. Jackson is also a solid asset in the run game as a blocker. Jackson started all 11 games his Junior season and looks to make some lasting impressions his Senior year on opposing defenses while impressing college scouts.
Nic Thompson Nic Thompson 5'11" | 210 lbs | DL Springdale | 2022 State AR – 2022 Class- TE Springdale Bulldogs
Nic Thompson Nic Thompson 5'11" | 210 lbs | DL Springdale | 2022 State AR is 6’0 weighing in at 210 pounds. Nic has a few attributes that helps him excel on Friday nights. Nic is a mean lead blocker in the Bulldog offense. Nic uses his 4.9 speed (40 time) and one high gear to hit the hole hard pancaking many defenders throughout his Junior year. Nic’s great ability as a lead blocker helped him perfect his route running and disguise it. Nic does both at the same high speed so the defense never really knows if he is blocking or running a route which allowed for him to catch several touchdowns and long gains after the catch. A big target for the Quarterback makes him an asset to the Bulldog offense and a threat to any defense that they might face his senior season. College scouts should take notice and watch Nic this Fall.
Reid Miles Reid Miles 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Searcy | 2022 State AR – 2022 Class- WR Searcy Lions
Reid Miles Reid Miles 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Searcy | 2022 State AR plays as tough as any player I have seen for this segment. Reid stands 5’11 and weighs in at 175 pounds. The thing that stands out about Reid is his ability to run multiple routes successfully using his speed to get inside leverage on slant routes or separation while running other routes. Reid has excellent hands and is a solid asset to his Quarterback. Reid had 501 yards receiving on just 33 catches with an astounding 15.2 yards per catch average scoring 5 touchdowns. Reid is a selfless player willing to come inside to the trenches and block in the run game. Reid is also an asset returning kicks. Reid is primed to put his opponents on notice his senior year as well as college recruiters.
Dane Lindsey Dane Lindsey 5'9" | 180 lbs | WR Bald Knob | 2022 State AR – 2022 Class- WR Bald Knob Bulldogs
As soon as I hit play on Dane’s film reel his abilities shined. Dane stands at only 5’9 and weighs in at 170 pounds but he plays much bigger. Dane has the ability to play multiple spots on the field for the Bulldog offense and play them well. Dane has great eyes with the ability to adjust his route on the fly if necessary using his great hands to make a great and consistent target for his Quarterback. His great speed allows him to run the vertical route as well as anyone gaining separation for the catch and usually the touchdown. While Dane’s abilities as a receiver are great, he is also exceptionally good in Jet Sweep. Dane will give defenses fits his Senior year and college scouts should go see him this fall at Bulldog Stadium.
Chaston Dockery Chaston Dockery 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Lonoke | 2022 State AR – 2022 Class- WR Lonoke Jackrabbits
Chaston is a player who uses his speed to aid him in being a great football player and a headache for opposing defenses. Chaston stands at 5’11 and weighs in at 178 pounds. Chaston runs a 4.7 40 and his clean max is 205. On film, Chaston is all over the place blocking, running routes, and causing the defense to always know where he is at all times. Chaston can clear out a defense with his decoy routes for the running game to gain chunk yardage. Chaston is someone colleges should keep an eye on as he looks to have a great Senior year.
