Luke Holcomb Luke Holcomb 6'5" | 195 lbs | QB Puyallup | 2021 State WA , QB, Puyallup
One of the top QB’s in the state committed to Washington State as a preferred walk on just a few days ago. The 6’5” 215 lb. pro-style QB has a lot of natural arm talent and playmaking ability using his smooth athleticism and strong well-balanced frame. Plus arm strength to be accurate and on time all over the field with the velocity to zip it into tight windows at the short and intermediate levels. He’s comfortable and patient sitting in the pocket waiting for plays to develop while reading coverage. Good instincts and anticipation when improvising and extending the play to throw on the run. Led Puyallup to a 5-1 record this spring season throwing for over 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns with a 129.5 QBR.
Ty Pumma Ty Pumma 6'2" | 265 lbs | DL North Creek | 2021 State WA , DL, North Creek
The 6’1” 265 lb. defensive tackle took a preferred walk on spot at Washington State two weeks ago over offers from Linfield, Minnesota Moris, Pacific Lutheran, Simon Fraser, and Whittier. He’s a physical force that is strong and powerful at the POA. He’s a run stopper that can beat/control a blocker with brute strength and leg drive. Also shows good ability to shed blocks when he needs to, locate the ball carrier, and make a strong tackle. He’s physical and aggressive with a high motor that plays to the whistle.
Tavarus George Tavarus George 6'3" | 215 lbs | TE Eastside Catholic | 2021 State WA , TE, Eastside Catholic
George is a very solid hybrid TE/H-Back. Big strong frame at 6’3” 225 lbs. He’s a natural pass catcher with soft hands and a large catch radius. Not a speedster but does a good job separating and finding space by being creative and avoiding contact. Does a good job setting up his routes and creating positional leverage to open up a throwing lane. Flashes good body control and adjustment ability to catch balls outside his framework. Committed to Montana State-Northern on April 14th over his other offer from Colorado Mesa.
Tanner Jellison Tanner Jellison 6'5" | 185 lbs | QB Lake Stevens | 2021 State WA , QB, Lake Stevens
Jellison committed to San Diego over his offer from Montana State-Northern. He’s continued to add weight to his long frame at 6’5” 200 lbs. and still has room to add bulk in a college weight program. He’s a technician with his footwork and mechanics in the pocket with very little wasted movement. Strong and consistent throwing motion with an over the top delivery and high release point. Throws a great deep ball with trajectory and touch. Love his demeanor, composure, and toughness in the pocket under pressure, shows he can deliver an accurate ball while taking a hit. He’s a sneaky athlete that can make plays with his legs when he needs too. Great skillset to build on and develop.
Deonte Hayes Deonte Hayes 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Spanaway | 2021 State WA , DB, Spanaway Lake
Hayes elected to stay in-state as preferred walk on at Washington State over an offer from Florida Atlantic. He’s an impressive athlete with speed and lateral agility. Strong cover corner that shows great ability to play press man. Good technique and footwork he flashes fluid hips and a great transition out of his back pedal. One of his best attributes is his ball skills, he attacks the ball and does a good job timing out his jump to get it at the highest point. In run support, he shows he can shed a block and be a reliable tackler in the open field.
JP Leahy JP Leahy 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL West Valley | 2021 State WA , DL, West Valley
Accepted a preferred walk on spot at Washington State on April 10th. Possesses a strong and sturdy frame at 6’3” 260 lbs. He’s difficult for the OL to get in front of with his quick and explosive first step off the ball but also tough to push off the LOS. He excels as a pass rusher where he can use that quickness and agility to beat blockers and close space on the QB while they are still dropping back. He shows good mobility and short area burst in pursuit and is strong at the POA. Has continued to improve and add weight/strength to his frame, possesses a high ceiling at the college level.
