This is a deep class with a lot of talent and some of those prospects have yet to receive an offer. Let’s dive into 5 of Alabama’s best linebackers without a single offer yet.
Kejuan Brown Kejuan Brown 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Gardendale | 2022 State AL | Gardendale
An athletic linebacker that can play in space, Kejuan Brown Kejuan Brown 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Gardendale | 2022 State AL is the perfect fit for most modern day defenses. At 6’1″ 215, he has good size for the position. A smart player, Brown can read his keys well and trigger on the play quickly. He shows good eye discipline and uses his athleticism to be in the right place at the right time. Brown covers shallow zones well and can come up and blitz the quarterback too. This is a very well rounded player with a lot of upside. Look for him to have a big senior season this year.
Kedrick Walker Kedrick Walker 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Minor | 2022 State AL | Minor
A perfect fit for a 3-4, Kedrick Walker Kedrick Walker 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Minor | 2022 State AL stands tall at 6’3″ 210. Walker has the length and athleticism to be a difference maker as an outside linebacker at the next level. He uses his hands and length well to create separation between himself and offensive linemen. Walker is consistently in the backfield making plays. Versus the run, he sets the edge well and contains everything inside. As a pass rusher, Walker can bend and use his athleticism to make plays and get shots on the quarterback. Surprised this guy doesn’t have anything going on yet. Watch for that to change going into summer or during his senior season.
Gage Alexander Gage Alexander 6'1" | 190 lbs | LB Hubbertville | 2022 State AL | Hubbertville
Gage Alexander Gage Alexander 6'1" | 190 lbs | LB Hubbertville | 2022 State AL was dominant last season at Hubbertville. On offense, he had over 1,600 yards. On defense, he led all juniors in tackles with 171. Although he is a talented player on both sides of the ball, his home is on defense in the future. At 6’1″ 185, Alexander has the frame to continue to add weight and get bigger. He has good speed in the open field and can run sideline to sideline well. Reading the field well, Alexander is constantly in position to make a play. He hits hard and tackles well. This guy is a flat out ball player. With his modern day skill set, look for him to pick up offers by the end of his senior year.
Abraham Daniels | Vigor
After his 16 sack junior season, Abraham Daniels proved to be a dominant player in the state of Alabama. He currently plays with his hand in the dirt and at outside linebacker, where he projects best in the future. This guy is a relentless pass rusher. He is strong, agile, and can run in space. Daniels has a variety of moves to create separation and uses his length effectively. Against the run, Daniels is constantly in the backfield and hits with aggression. Love this guys potential as a 3-4 rush backer. He has the overall skillset and athleticism to be a great player in space. Look for him to take off this summer.
Cole Jennings | Opp
At 6’2″ 230, Cole Jennings is another player who could take his hand out of the dirt and play outside linebacker. Jennings rushes the passer well and uses his strength to win. He has a strong bull rush move with good initial quickness off the ball. As he currently plays defensive tackle, it may be a bit of a projection for him to move outside. Interesting prospect to keep track of throughout the year.
