There are already a bunch of guys in 2022 that have big time offers, but it is an incredibly deep class. Let’s take a look at 5 prospects who have yet to receive any offer yet.
Danielle Harris Danielle Harris 6'6" | 220 lbs | DL Parker | 2022 State AL | Parker
At 6’6″ 220, Danielle Harris Danielle Harris 6'6" | 220 lbs | DL Parker | 2022 State AL looks like an absolute unit on the field. He has elite length in his arms and has the frame to add more weight on. A raw prospect, Harris’ best ball is ahead of him. He has good initial quickness off the ball and can use his length to be disruptive in passing lanes. His speed in the open field shows on chase downs and in pursuit of the ball carrier. Harris is stout versus the run, but has a lot more upside as a pass rusher. As he continues to develop his upper body strength and move set, expect him to pick up college offers as a senior. College coaches will struggle to find size like this anywhere else.
Cedric Jackson Cedric Jackson 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Bob Jones | 2022 State AL | Bob Jones
A stout 6’2″ 300, Cedric Jackson Cedric Jackson 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Bob Jones | 2022 State AL is an inside defender with ability to anchor a defensive line. Jackson takes on and splits double teams well and causes offensive lines headaches throughout games. Although he is a big man, he shows good quickness off the ball and the ability to run in space. Jackson plays his best ball as a run defender. He can get into the backfield and disrupt the path the ball carrier attempts to take. As a pass rusher, Jackson has a good bull rush move using his raw strength. For a college team looking for a true nose, Cedric Jackson Cedric Jackson 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Bob Jones | 2022 State AL is the guy. Expecting it to only be a matter of time before his first offer comes in.
Anthony Brown Anthony Brown 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL McGill Toolen | 2022 State AL | McGill Toolen
Anthony Brown Anthony Brown 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL McGill Toolen | 2022 State AL is a violent and explosive edge defender. He stands at 6’3″ 240 right now, but could add weight in the future. Brown has long arms and is extremely athletic in space. As a pass rusher, Brown thrives. He has a good initial step off the ball and has a variety of moves to get by offensive tackles and guards. He can use his swim move efficiently to create separation. His motor to get to the ball carrier runs extremely hot. This is a guy that hustles every snap. Brown makes plays versus the run as well and uses his strength to win. Wouldn’t be surprised if he could take his hand out of the dirt and play a stand up rush linebacker role either.
Ronnie Mageo Ronnie Mageo 6'4" | 250 lbs | DL Fairhope | 2022 State AL | Fairhope
As a two way player, Ronnie Mageo Ronnie Mageo 6'4" | 250 lbs | DL Fairhope | 2022 State AL had the athleticism to be a tight end and defensive lineman last year at Fairhope. This is a naturally strong kid who can bully players using his upper body. Mageo stands at 6’4″ 250 and looks every bit of it. He can run well in space and uses his strength to be a true pocket pusher. In the future, Mageo may be a better fit as an interior defensive lineman. He is efficient against the run and uses his hands well to separate. As a pass rusher, Mageo is evidently raw but has the tools to be successful. Look for him to have a big senior year of the defensive side of the ball.
John English John English 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Hazel Green | 2022 State AL | Hazel Green
English is an exciting player with shockingly nothing going on in his recruitment. This guy gets after it. English has one of the best motors in the entire defensive line class. He never takes a snap off and seems to be in on almost every tackle possible. English has the size to continue adding weight and become a big time end, or could shift into an outside rush linebacker. Against the pass, English has a variety of moves that help him get to the quarterback. He is extremely fast off the ball and does a great job of using his hands. He even has a spin move! With improved strength at the line of scrimmage, this guy can be a quick riser in recruiting circles. Look for him to pick stuff up soon.
