Continue ReadingAlthough the first session brought many great athletes to the table (offensive line and defensive line), after seeing the names that were left over, I knew that the second portion of The Line Wisconsin was going to bring the juice. I was not wrong as the talent during the back-half of the event was even more impressive than the first. Earlier today, I looked at the best DL performers, now back to the other side of the ball with the best OL performers from the second session.
2022 OT Mack Indestad Mack Indestad 6'6" | 265 lbs | OL Lemont | 2022 State IL , Lemont, IL (6’6” and 260lbs) @mack_indestad
Long and lean, Indestad has a fantastic frame which he’ll be able to add weight onto as he gets older. He uses his length well, keeping defensive lineman from getting too close to him.

He’s quick on his feet, which will bode well in the long run. Indestad could end up sliding inside if tackle doesn’t workout, he’s talented enough to make the transition. I really like the upside, mainly due to his frame, long reach and good footwork.
2022 OG/C Connor Hare, Bartlett, IL (6’4” and 280lbs) @connorhare15
A perfect build for an interior lineman, Hare is strong at the point of attack. He has some very good footwork which keeps his balance, even when he’s knocked back.

I haven’t seen him live before and I really liked what I saw. Hare most likely will be able to add about 15-20 pounds to his frame without losing some athletic ability. I’m curious to see how he performs this spring.
2022 OT Joshua Sander, Hinsdale South, IL (6’6 and 333lbs) @Jsander03
It’s time to give Sander a nickname, Mount Sander has a nice ring to it. The young man is absolutely massive, but is nimble as well. He’s got a great base which keeps him in front of most defenders. Most likely Sander is a right tackle, he doesn’t have that elite wingspan many of the left side do.

He’s got a fantastic punch, with plenty of strength behind it. Sander was impressive once again and should have a big junior year starting in a few weeks.
2022 OG Paolo Gennarelli Paolo Gennarelli 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL St. Charles North | 2022 State IL , St. Charles North, IL (6’3” and 275lbs) @Gennarelli2022
Another high-level interior lineman, Gennarelli has great bend and footwork to attack defenders. He’s extremely strong at the point of attack, once he latches on, you’re going for a ride.

Gennarelli consistently finished off his blocks, driving his opposition away from the line of scrimmage. He’s got very good athleticism for a lineman and I expect him to have a very successful junior year.
2022 OT Luke Dalton Luke Dalton 6'5" | 300 lbs | OL Marian Central Catholic | 2022 State IL , Marion Catholic, IL (6’5” and 300lbs) @LukeDalton_
A camp circuit all-star, Dalton continues to show why he is one of the best lineman in the state regardless of class. Great footwork and strong at the point of attack, it’s so difficult for defenders to beat him.
I’m gonna keep saying this, @LukeDalton_ recruiting is going to blow up soon. Reps like this are why pic.twitter.com/zuS3iCpysR

Dalton likely ends up as a right tackle or he could slide down as a guard. Regardless of where Dalton ends up, he’s going to be a significant piece for a colleges offensive line. I’ve been a big fan of his game from the first time I saw him, and Dalton keeps getting better and better.
2022 OG Trey Steele Trey Steele 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Eau Claire North | 2022 State WI , Eau Claire North, WI (6’3” and 285lbs) @Steele76Trey
My first time seeing Steele and he was extremely impressive. He has a great frame, carrying his weight extremely well, actually looks skinny. A solid base which leads to good footwork, Steele has the makings of a very competitive guard.

I could see him easily adding on 20 extra pounds and not losing any of his athleticism. Speed rushers weren’t an issue due to the footwork, I really liked what he brings to the table. I wish Steele was closer to me, I’d love to see him with pads on.
2023 OT Cooper Starks, North Mac, IL (6’5” and 315lbs) @cooper_starks
My second time seeing Starks and once again, an impressive showing from the young lineman. Already massive, he carries the weight well, showing good footwork.

— "The" Mike F Chen (@MikeFChen) March 2, 2021
Starks has an extremely large lower-half, so he doesn’t need much work there, but could use more upper-body strength as he faces linemen who are as big as he is. I like the upside with Starks, he’s got the frame and agility to be a high-level lineman.
