Linebackers to Watch in 2021 from 7A District 8

<p id="E9" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><em><strong><span id="E10" class="qowt-font1-Arial">W</span><span id="E11" class="qowt-font1-Arial">ith the 2021 season approaching and Spring practice in less than 2 months,</span><span id="E12" class="qowt-font1-Arial"> we’re looking at returning linebacker prospects from 7A District 8 in the East/Central areas of Florida. There are some very good prospects and several sleeper prospects that should all be getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.</span></strong></em></span></p>

<p id="E17" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><em><strong><span id="E18" class="qowt-font1-Arial">6’0 195lbs</span></strong></em></p>
<p id="E21" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E22" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Ingram is a good linebacker prospect that played in the Florida/Georgia All-Star Game in January. He only got to play in five games this season, but he impressed in those games. Ingram is always attacking downfield fast and does a good job blitzing. He’s very effective in coverage and shows the ability to drop his hips and accelerate to the ball, he’s good out in space and a really good open-field tackler. He was the first team all-county this season and has a 3.7 GPA.</span></p>

<p id="E38" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E39" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Marshall caught my eye watching film of his teammates. Marshall mans the middle with Ingram and they form a very good tandem. Marshall does a good job filling his gap consistently, he has a nose for the ball and does a good job sifting through traffic to get to the football, and seems to not be caught out of position very often. </span></p>

<p id="E53" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E54" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Eckles has a nice size/speed combo, he displays good short-area quickness, he’s an aggressive tackler that is explosive on contact, reads the play and shoot gaps quickly, has good backside chase speed. He’s definitely one to watch the season. He currently has an offer from Warner University.</span></p>

<p id="E68" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E69" class="qowt-font1-Arial">Slone is a linebacker that had a very good Junior season making first team all-area and registering 98 tackles, he’s also a smart player that has a 3.98 GPA. Slone is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker that can run (</span><span id="E70" class="qowt-font1-Arial">4.56 40</span><span id="E71" class="qowt-font1-Arial">), he’s very effective in coverage and shows the ability to easily redirect and accelerate to the football. He doesn’t shy away from contact and does a good job bringing his arms and wrapping up. He’s definitely one to watch this season.</span></p>

<p id="E85" class="x-scope qowt-word-para-0"><span id="E86" class="qowt-font1-Arial">McKinney is an intriguing linebacker Prospect, he’s a very good student that has a 3.75 GPA. Watching him on film his intelligence really stands out, </span><span id="E87" class="qowt-font1-Arial">he trusts his </span><span id="E91" class="qowt-font1-Arial" style="font-size: 1rem;">eyes and</span><span id="E92" class="qowt-font1-Arial" style="font-size: 1rem;"> doesn’t get caught out of position, and dissects plays quickly, he does a good job unlocking his hips and making solid tackles, does a good job seeing through blocks and accelerates to the football. I really like this kid.</span></p>
