With Covid and the lack of overall exposure, this class hasn’t really scratched the surface with all the talent that this state has to offer.
Head in any direction and you will see these current sophomores, who will be valued juniors this coming season, make an impact on teams across Florida.
As we have already brought you the past seven months is a look at all football prospects in the Sunshine State – and while we have only scratched the surface with some, others have been out there for a few months now.
Today, we take a look at some more of the impressive Class of 2023 prospects – they will be headlining at a football field close to you this coming season:
Richard Dandridge, WR, Miami St. Brendan. There is no getting around how impressive this class is when it comes to the receiver position. There are so many impressive pass catchers that choosing the best of all of them will never be easy. It is a process that will continue to play out – over and over again this spring and summer. When they are talking about the elite performers, here is definitely one that they need to include. This is a play-maker, who ignites his football team in so many ways. Being a leader has come easy for this quality young man.

Cameron Newman, OLB, Jay. One of the versatile players on this team, his ability to make plays is what makes him so impressive on defense – as a sure tackler who will stick his head into every play. Against the 1A state champion Baker Gators, he was in position to make plays on defense all night. The team also calls on him to get those tough yards as a back. When you pay for smaller programs, you had better be prepared to do it all!

Torian Roberts, WR/DB, Winter Park Lake Howell. It is no surprise that this young man has been able to answer every challenge that has been put in front of him. Being able to play on both sides of the ball is nothing new to this three-sport athlete who gets it done in the classroom (3.9 GPA) as well. Solid all-around football talent, who makes plays.

Will Smiley, QB/Athlete, Panama City Bay. When we last broke down his game in the off-season, it was taking a look at his first varsity season with the Tornadoes. But now with another year in, he is still an impressive quarterback prospect who is dangerous with his arm and legs, making him one of those talents that college coaches will have plenty of fun with over the next few years. Big time athletes make those plays that win games.

Kemani Wilson, CB/WR, Jacksonville Bolles. Talk about someone with a knack of being around the football, here he is – and whether it’s on offense, defense or coming up big on special teams, this is certainly one of the catalysts who has the talent to help this team get back to the state championships. In addition to what he does on the football field, he is also a guard on the basketball court as well as holding down a 3.4 GPA in the classroom.
