Martin is the third ranked quarterback in California’s 2022 class according to Prep Redzone and the No. 25 ranked overall prospect.
He was a backup quarterback at Serra (Gardena) last season as a sophomore and transferred to Inglewood where he is set to be the starter if the season occurs.
His final three schools were Arizona State, Cal and Oregon State. He also had offers from Colorado, Kansas, Michigan State, Oregon, San Jose State and USC.
“Cal just fits me perfectly in every way,” Martin told Greg Biggins of 247Sports. “From the football program to the environment, to the academics and the coaching staff, Cal has everything I was looking for in a school. I love Coach Musgrave’s (OC/QB coach) experience in all levels of football and the system that Cal runs.”
Martin is 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds and has the build of a basketball player. He has a good arm, makes difficult throws on the run and can extend plays with his legs.

High-upside receiver lands Mountain West offer
Antoine Jones Antoine Jones 6'0" | 195 lbs | WR Colony | 2022 State CA from Colony (Ontario) was offered by Colorado State on Tuesday.
Jones is a 6-foot-5, 180 pounds and has put on a lot of weight since his sophomore season. Some scouts view him as a possible tight end type at the next level as well.
He caught 19 passes for 521 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore last season for Colony.
Jones also has an offer from Fresno State.

The University of San Diego lands two defensive prospects
San Diego added two Southern California defensive players to its 2021 recruiting class.
Last Tuesday, defensive end Adrian Aguirre of Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) announced his commitment to San Diego.
He had 27 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks as a junior last season.
Aguirre is 6-foot-4, 220 pounds and also had an offer from Valparaiso.
Malcolm Williams, an inside linebacker from St. Augustine (San Diego) committed to San Diego on Friday.
He had 65 tackles, 11 for a loss, three sacks, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles for St. Augustine last season.
Williams also had offers from Idaho, Lake Erie College, Southwest Minnesota State and Valparaiso.

Fresno State lands former Pac 12 commit
Ja’Quez Harvey Ja’Quez Harvey 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Locke Charter | 2021 State CA of Locke Charter (Los Angeles) committed to Fresno State on Saturday.
He previously committed to Arizona in July but reopened his recruitment early in December.
Harvey is the No. 15 defensive lineman in the state according to Prep Redzone.
He is 6-foot-4, 245 pounds and one of the top edge pass rushers in the state. He is very athletic and also big enough to defend the run against offensive linemen. He could transition to outside linebacker at the next level if put into a 3-4 defensive scheme.
Harvey is the third defensive lineman in Fresno State’s 2021 class, joining Tito Chikere of Sugar Land, Texas and Julius Lewis Julius Lewis 6'5" | 280 lbs | DL Central Catholic | 2021 State CA of Central Catholic (Modesto).
Trinity League quarterback gets two more offers
Class of 2022 quarterback Noah Fifita Noah Fifita 5'10" | 175 lbs | QB Servite | 2022 State CA of Servite (Anaheim) was offered by Colorado State and Arizona this past week.
Fifita threw for 2,892 yards and 37 touchdowns to just four interceptions as a sophomore for the Friars last season.
He is the No. 7 quarterback in California’s 2022 class according to Prep Redzone and the No. 2 ranked quarterback in Orange County.
Fifita has been playing on the club team Juice County along with teammate Tetairoa McMillan Tetairoa McMillan 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR Servite | 2022 State CA .
