We have had some newcomers enter the class of 2021 rankings that we are going to update you on and get to know. In this article we look at a group that have entered the 2021 rankings and we will likely have several articles due to the impressive talent in the state of Arkansas. Welcome aboard to the newcomers that have entered the 2021 rankings!
Elijah White, Defensive Line, McGehee
Ranking #67
White is a nightmare for opposing offensive lines to account for and attempt to block. He has excellent quickness, and he uses it well to disrupt the rushing game of his opponent. White has tremendous potential, and he will be playing on Saturdays in the fall. He earns a spot in the top 10 along the defensive line coming in at number 7.
Jared Summons Jared Summons 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Little Rock Parkview | 2021 State AR , Offensive Line, Little Rock Parkview
Ranking #81
Summons uses his speed well to get into the opposing defensive lineman. At 280 pounds Summons has a good mix of speed and power. He has a knack for keeping defensive linemen off-balance. Summons is effective as a run and a pass blocker. He has a tremendous amount of potential and it will be interesting to see what he will accomplish at the University of Arkansas in the fall.
Chris Haywood Chris Haywood 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL Foreman | 2021 State AR , Defensive Line, Foreman
Ranking #89
Haywood has good quickness, and he can surprise opposing offensive linemen with just how quickly he can get into the backfield. He is an extremely disruptive player and can terrorize quarterbacks with his 6-3 frame. What stands out to me is how effective he is at shutting down the opposing rushing attack. He is a great addition to the Tarleton State defense, and he should have an impressive collegiate career.
Kendrick Juniel Kendrick Juniel 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH Bearden | 2021 State AR , Athlete, Bearden
Ranking #92
The Bearden coaching staff was able to line Kendrick up all over the field. As a wide receiver Juniel uses his athletic ability well to create separation from the defense. At 6-3, Juniel does a good job of going up and high pointing the football. As a rusher, Juniel averaged 7.4 yards per carry his senior season and was a nightmare to bring down for the opposing defensive linemen. At the next level, Juniel skills at the wide receiver position would make him a dangerous threat for opposing defenses to contend with.
Ayden Bailey Ayden Bailey 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB McGehee | 2021 State AR , Running Back/Defensive Back, McGehee
Ranking #91
Bailey is a powerhouse at the running back position. He forces several defenders to attempt to bring him down. Bailey runs angry and that is an impressive trait. However, he is a patient running back and he does a good job of allowing the hole to develop. Meanwhile, Bailey is effective on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary. He is physical with opposing wide receivers and has shown a knack for picking off passes. Bailey has impressive upside on both sides of the ball and will do well at the next level.
Over the next few days we will look at newcomers in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Prep RedZone Arkansas rankings as well as have a series of articles put together on the players that moved up significantly in all three sets of rankings.
