While we are definitely here to break the latest and give you are opinions on prospects, we also promote them or your information – we also have the opportunity to promote prospects in every corner of Florida to schools all over this country – and that includes the over 20 colleges and universities in the Sunshine that compete in football.
As we know by know, each and every class in Florida is loaded. It’s a given that top-flight football talent will be produced in Florida every year – so that is why we bring you so many prospects in all the classes.
Last year, while they were juniors, the 2022 group had the opportunity to watch what was going on during the pandemic season from a distance.
Without colleges being able to visit schools and athletes, that has really put the pressure on this rising senior class this winter, spring and summer – still trying to grab some of that spotlight, so colleges can check them out.
Today, we bring you five of those impressive Class of 2022 football prospects as they are now in the off-season.
Rocco Becht Rocco Becht QB Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch | 2022 FL , QB, Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch. After a quality season for this always improving program, this is going to be a very important off-season for this 6-1, 190-pounder. What you have to love about this young man is his quick release, being able to throw on the run and using his experience of being around the game all of his young life to his advantage.

Ethan Edge, DE/TE, Baker. If you watched any of the 1A state champion Gators’ games this season, there were a number of impressive football players out there. One of those quality prospects was this junior tight end/defensive end/linebacker. Here is a gifted prospect that didn’t receive the attention that many across the state do – but that will change as he heads toward his final season. This is one of those strong, athletic (baseball players) and talented playmakers on both sides of the ball. The 6-2, 215-pounder is a legitimate baseball prospect (1B).

Christian Ellis, DB/RB, Jacksonville Trinity Christian. Coming into this year’s 3A state championship game against three-time defending state champion Chaminade-Madonna, veteran head coach Verlon Dorminey and his team knew they would have to get some special performances if they were to knock off the Lions. Using this impressive prospect all over the field, the Conquerors came away with a win another state title – and Ellis got a huge push into this coming season!

Jayden Gibson Jayden Gibson 6'6" | 185 lbs | WR Winter Garden West Orange | 2022 State FL , WR, Winter Garden West Orange. At 6-foot-5, 185-pounds, here is someone who is not hard to miss. Believe it or not, this is a very agile football player who not only catches the long balls and has the speed (4.65) to run away from defenders, but he is also a kick return specialist with long strides to help along the way. This is a real talent who will be special this off-season – and that is the perfect way to impress.

Ghana Oboh, RB, Miami Central. Two years ago, while warming up before the season opener, the late Corey Smith, head coach at Miami High, said to those who wanted to listen: “that young sophomore over there is going to be special. Very special.” Months after Smith’s tragic death and Oboh was a catalyst in the Rockets’ 6A state championship. What he showed in that win over Lake Minneola was a big back who could run over and away from you. Someone who will be a huge part of the Rockets’ 2021 plans. He is starting to pick up plenty of interest.
