Every program needs a field general to lead their offense, and these six gunslingers are right for the job. Take a look at these unsigned quarterbacks heading into National Signing Day. [player_tooltip player_id="35395" first="Andrew" last="Khoury"] – Junction City, 6’1”, 180 Khoury threw the ball all over the field in 2020. He threw for 3,146 yards, 31 touchdowns and completed 60% of his passes. His standout year earned him a selection to the 6A All-State Team, and an invitation to the Kansas Shrine Bowl. He has good arm-talent and improvising skills fit for a pass-heavy offense at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="100874" first="Isaac" last="Stanton"] – Basehor-Linwood, 6’2”, 185 Stanton had himself a breakout season. He was one of the leading passers in the state, as he threw for 2,663 yards, 32 touchdowns, and completed 62% of his passes. His play earned him an invitation to the Kansas Shrine Bowl and a 4A All-State Honorable Mention nod. Stanton’s poise in the pocket, and consistency with his mechanics translate to the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="100161" first="Jackson" last="Dooley"] – Lawrence, 6’1”, 195 Dooley flew a little under the radar because of how talented Lawrence High was in 2020. He helped lead the Lions to a 9-1 record. On film he shows that he can make difficult throws down the field. Dooley is good about making quick reads, and he shows good awareness in the pocket. He has the capability of running an offense at the collegiate level. [player_tooltip player_id="49687" first="Dayne" last="Aschenbrenner"] – Manhattan, 5’10”, 185 Aschenbrenner showcased his dual threat ability throughout his career in the Little Apple. His air and ground yards combined for 3,196 yards of total offense, and he scored 37 total touchdowns. Aschenbrenner has a nice touch on his deeper throws, and he is dangerous once he pulls the ball down to run. If recruiters are looking for an athletic quarterback that can make plays; Aschenbrenner is their guy. [player_tooltip player_id="100162" first="Dakota" last="Burritt"] – St. James Academy, 6’0”, 170 It’s fair to say that Burritt put everyone on notice after the season he had in 2020. His 2,792 yards passing and 32 total touchdowns helped lead St. James to a 4A State Championship. Burritt’s impressive performance earned him a 4A All-State selection. He has good mobility in the pocket, and is an accurate thrower. Burritt may need to add some size, but he can be successful at the collegiate level. [player_tooltip player_id="100163" first="Cooper" last="Marsh"] – Mill Valley, 6’0”, 180 Marsh capped off a great career at Mill Valley by winning another 5A State Championship, and being named a finalist for the Simone Award. He threw for 1,597 yards and 16 touchdowns, and also ran for 556 yards and 13 scores. Marsh reads defenses well, and has the athleticism to make big plays. He’s a proven winner that would make an impact with any program.
