Many of these athletes took place in this event to showcase their skills and to train for the following season. These athletes, parents, and others who cover this even are serious about the game of football and want to allow their athletes a chance to further advance their football skills and the ability to also further advance their recruitment. Let’s take a look at which players made an impact at the tournament.
Gamechangers
Jordan Hudson Jordan Hudson 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Garland | 2022 State TX ( 22 ) | 6 -1 WR | Garland HS
This sooner commit was making plays all over the field. He seems larger than 6-1 in person and on the field, partly due to his vertical ability to make catches at the apex. One of the top receivers in the class of 2022 coming out of the state of Texas. He showed why at the tournament racking up multiple touchdowns with his amazing, speed, route running, and ability to catch anything thrown his way. Look for this kid to have a high ceiling in college and to be a good target for QB, Spencer Rattler, and the Sooners. He has the possibility to be a multi-year starter in college and I believe has the potential to play on Sundays as well.

Stephon Johnson ( 22 ) | 6-2 WR | Lancaster HS
Top division one prospect as well, with impressive fame and size for a speedy receiver. Johnson made his name known early on and throughout the tournament putting up an impressive performance and helping his team to a few victories. Stephon has an impressive ability to make people miss because of his speed and how light he is on his feet. He shows the ability to stop on a dime and make yards after the catch looks easy. Look for him to make an impact in college, where ever he chooses to go he will be a special one.
Brandon Armelin ( 21 ) | 6-1 WR | Roosevelt HS
Slot receiver with average size at wide receiver that can catch the ball at the apex has good speed. He has good hands He is dangerous on vertical routes because of his blazing speed, defenders cannot keep up and are usually 5 yards behind him. He has the ability to be a return man as well. Showed off his speed at the tournament and great hands.
Blake Youngblood ( 22 ) | 6-0 WR | Parish Episcopal
Blake was a standout performer for his team. He just had a knack for finding the end zone and showed off his impressive route running ability. When he runs his routes his cutes like that of a Wes Welker or Cole Beasley just to give you a picture of how quick he is in and out of his cuts. He makes for a good target for the QB. I believe this is a player who is severely underrated due to his size but his ability is definitely there. In the tournament, Blake had scored 2 touchdowns in the championship game and 3 out of the 4 TDs caught in the semis. He is starting to attack a lot of attention to himself from college recruiters and would be a good addition to any team looking to add a quality receiver.
Mudia Reuben Mudia Reuben 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Park Hill South | 2022 State MO ( 22 ) | 6-3 WR | Park Hill South HS ( Kansas City, MO )
Mudia has terrific size for a wideout to pair along with his extreme athleticism and ability. At the tournament his showed a quick burst off the ball and plays very physically, he has the ability to split double coverage and meet the ball at the apex to make the catch. No wonder he is on the recruiting board for one of the nation’s best programs in Clemson. His brother redshirt freshman Etinosa Reuben is a Clemson Tiger already and there is no doubt the two would love to play together. There is interest on both sides but we will see where he ends up, but he will undoubtedly make an impact in college football in years to come.

Christopher Brazzel ( 22 ) | 6-3 WR | Midland Christian HS
Tall lengthy receiver with impressive size and build to pair with his long wingspan. Brazzell can show off his impressive vertical ability and snatch the ball out of the air over the defers head. He runs smooth crisp routes and has the ability to make people miss in the open field. He has a large catch radius as he has an impressive wingspan and athletic frame. Good number one or two receiver, who I believe has the potential to be a multi-year starter in college and make an immediate contribution.
Jaquaize Pettaway ( 23 ) |5-11 WR | Langham Creek HS
First team all-district in the 16-6 A Division, holds a division one offer already from Arkansas. A speedy receiver, one of the fastest on the list, this kid has amazing potential to be a big-time recruit. He is a dangerous route runner with the ability to take the ball to the house any time he touches the ball. Coaches if you don’t know, you should know, Jaquaize Pettaway. Look for more DI offers to come on this speedy receiver who I see continuing to grow and improve this season.
Eric Nolden Jr. ( 22 ) | 5-9 WR/DB | Judson HS
An underrated db due to his size. Eric has elite speed and agility. In watching some of his game films, Eric plays as a tremendous defender playing both against the run and the pass well. He can also play at the wide receiver position and has the ability to produce due to his pure athleticism and speed. Show the ability to be a solid contributor on both sides of the field. He plays against some of the toughest competition in 6A Texas division football and shows to be a strong competitor week in and week out.
Jordan Sanford ( 23 ) | 6-0 ATH | Mansfield Timberview
Jordan has an impressive build for his age can tell he puts work on and off the field. He can play quarterback or wide receiver and has elite speed and agility. He has impressive arm strength and touches on throws down the middle of the field. A true dual-threat when he gets behind center who can touch defenses, as you probably guessed –throw the air and on the ground. Last season he put up some impressive plays, look for his recruitment to big ramped up here pretty soon. His Twitter account and hudl are filled with college coaches.
Chris Parson Chris Parson 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Ravenwood | 2023 State TN ( 23 ) | 6-0 185 | Bishop Dunne HS
One of the best dual-threat QBs in his class of 2023 out of the state of Texas. His height and size are adequate for a dual-threat Qb but I think will continue to grow as he gets older and spends more time in the weight room. Talk about an absolute stud of an athlete at the quarterback position. Chris can literally do it all, and it is no wonder he is on many big-time recruiting boards. His hudl account has had over 18,000 views, if you haven’t checked this guy out—you should. He has amazing arm strength and great quarterback mechanics. His footwork is phenomenal, one that mimics the pros. You can tell this athlete has put in a lot of work into his craft. He has offers already from TCU, Oregon State, Alcorn, and many others. I believe Chris will be one of the top FBS prospects and have a long list of schools to choose from. I see him having the potential to make it to the pros and playing on Sundays in the future.

Gage Roy Gage Roy 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Dallas Jesuit | 2022 State TX helped lead his team to an impressive clean swipe of 8-0 and to win the championship title. Earning him to our list of quarterbacks due to his impressive play on the field helping him earn the offensive MVP of the tournament as well. He shows great footwork, keeps a wide low base, and moves well in the pocket. He shows the ability to elude defenders in the pocket and deliver nice throws on the run. He has a strong arm and can throw deep, with velocity, down the middle of the field or on out route throws. He has adequate size and speed and holds multiple Ivy league offers as well as others, which does tell you he gets it done both in the classroom and in the classroom. I see him being a solid two-year starter at the next level and being a huge producer offensively.

Diego Narezo ( 23 ) | 5-7 QB / DB | Cornerstone Christian
Very undersized as a quarterback as of right now but I think he should continue to grow as he gets older. He is playing for good coaching in one of San Antonios’ premier schools in Cornerstone Christian. He showcases his ability at the tournament, finding the endzone multiple times by his deep throwing ability and touch on the ball. This guy throws a nice spiral and can find the corner of the endzone and make it look routine. He has a lot of college coaches following him on his Twitter account, so coaches are taking notice of talent and I am sure a lot more will start to reach out after viewing this article.

Jeff Huff ( 22 ) | 5-10 QB | College Station
Below average height as a Qb but has elite arm strength. Coaches and fans when I tell you this kid can make all the throws, he can literally make all of them. On the run, staying in the pocket, it doesn’t matter. He knows his size isn’t the best so he has put in tremendous time and effort into his mechanics and arm strength and velocity that he can make on throws. He does have a sort of athletic build, that is reminiscent of that of a Russel Wilson with the same type of play that he is comparable to. He can roll out of the pocket and make throws 30 to 40 yards plus accurately and with velocity and he doesn’t even have to set his feet. A tremendous athlete and I see him being a solid FBS / FCS recruit.
Henry Martin ( 22 ) | 6-1 QB | Blue Valley North HS
Henry was instrumental in leading his team to multiple victories and played with some top talent for team Empire. He showed good decision-making skills, throwing ability, footwork that you would like to see coming out of a quarterback. I had a chance to talk to Henry, whom I was greatly impressed by knowing he was one of the under-recruited athletes at the camp. He said, Illinois State and, South Dakota and North Dakota have all shown interest, but that he was very much still in the recruitment process. He believes in his ability and plays with a certain chip on his shoulder to show everyone he can be a QB1 and be a generous producer passing the rock around.
Glenn Rice Glenn Rice 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Lancaster | 2022 State TX ( 22 ) | 6-2 QB | Lancaster HS
A true dual-threat, who can impress running the ball or passing. He can make laser throws and shows good mechanics that you would like to see out of quarterbacks. Showed why he made it on to our rankings here at Prep Redzone as being the premier dual-threat quarterback who I believe is being severely under-recruited. So coaches, go check out his film and you will see a QB who can light up the scoreboard, either on the ground or through the air.
Alex Orji ( 22 ) | 6-2 QB | Sachse HS
Average size for a QB with an athletic build, he also impressed many in attendance with his pure arm strength and leadership he showed on the field. His footwork could use some improvement but all the intangibles are there and he shows the ability to hang in the pocket, take a hit while delivering a strike. Currently holds offers to big-time schools like Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Minnesota, and Nebraska. Look for this top QB to make an immediate impact in college
Other noteworthy athletes:
Quinton Conley Quinton Conley 6'4" | 220 lbs | WR Pembroke Hill | 2022 State MO ( 22 ) | 6-5 WR / TE | Pembroke Hill High
Quinton was making plays all over the field. He can make plays at wide receiver and tight end. I got a chance to stop and talk to the top recruit. He said he has offers from Nebraska, Iowa State, and others. He also said he plays wide receivers but might —make the switch to tight end at the next level in college.
