University Christian No Stranger To Title Game
In this article:
When it comes to playing in the big game, Jacksonville University Christian is certainly to stranger to playing for one of the top spots in Florida.
With a recent win over Foundation Academy, the Christians will advance to that title game for the 10th time in school history. Only Bolles, which will also head to Tallahassee next week, has more from the region.
This is a program that will always battle and produce some of the top student/athletes in Florida – and as they get set to meet defending 2A state champion Hialeah Champagnat Catholic on December 16th, this is a program that is ready to play – with some key wins down the stretch.
Like their opponent in the title game, University Christian is stacked with college-bound prospects and a tradition that continues to thrive.
The schedule is loaded with impressive football teams that got this program ready for another state title appearance.
HOW THEY GOT TO 8-4
With losses to top programs such as Green Cove Springs Clay (33-12), Orange Park Oakleaf (45-28), Baldwin (18-14) and 4A state-bound Jacksonville Bolles (33-19), this is a program that never gave up.
Despite the four losses, the wins came against Starke-Bradford County (33-22), Winter Garden Foundation Academy (35-0), Crescent City (69-22) and Quincy Munroe (42-0).
In the playoffs, it’s been Monticello Aucilla Christian (41-16), Tallahassee St. John Paul II (41-7), Tallahassee North Florida Christian (35-20) and last Friday’s 28-14 win over Foundation Academy.
