Connor Nelson DE/OLB- Viera c/o 22
6’2 200lbs
Nelson has had a very good junior season from his defensive end position, he racked up 37 tackles and led 7A Region 2 in sacks with 13 and 13 more QB hurries! Nelson is a very good Prospect, he can play with his hand in the ground or standing up, he shows relentlessness pursuing the quarterback, he’s quick off the snap, the shows good closing speed. Nelson is a good speed rusher at this stage in his career, he also shows the ability to change directions and accelerate to the ball.

Elijah Russell DE- Forest c/o 22
6’8 225lbs
Russell had a very good Junior season with 43 tackles, 12 sacks, and 27 QB hurries! He has tremendous height, length, and ideal frame for an edge rusher. He has impressive burst off the edge for his size, showing quickness to beat tackles off the edge and uses his hands very well. He does a very good job hustling on every play and uses his quickness and length to run down quarterbacks and ball carriers from the back side. He should definitely start getting some Division 1 interest this summer.

Jamari Lyons DE/DT- Viera c/o 22
6’4 305lbs
Lyons is a 4-star prospect that had a very good junior season registering 79 tackles, 10 sacks, and 11 QB hurries. I saw Lyons play in person and he is a very disruptive and powerful defensive tackle, he consistently got into the backfield, uses his hands well, and converts speed to power really well, and does a good job splitting the gaps. He is a big-time prospect that will be playing at the division 1 level without a doubt. Currently holds over 16 offers including power 5 offers from Florida, Arizona State, Arkansas, and Auburn.

Nate Kidd LB- Wiregrass Ranch c/o 22
6’1 205lbs
Kidd finished up his Junior season with 38 tackles, 7 sacks, 1 int, and five QB hurries. He’s another outside linebacker that can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up, he does a good job exploding out of the stance and slipping blocks. He is pretty good burst and closing speed getting to ball carriers. He has good size and will continue to get better and should be one of the top linebackers next season in the Tampa area.

Johnny Chaney OLB- Wekiva
6’2 212lbs
Chaney capped off a nice senior season finishing with 58 tackles, seven sacks, and one fumble recovery. Cheney is a relentless football player that plays like his hair is on fire, he never stops hustling and you can tell he loves the game by the way he plays. He does a fantastic job diagnosing and filling, has a nose for the ball and gets to the ball carrier in a hurry, has good speed and acceleration.
