Top Arkansas 2021 Recruits without an Offer
In this article:
The 2021 recruiting class has started to take shape with many college football programs. This article will put the spotlight on three high school recruits that have yet to receive an offer. Many recruits tend to slip under the radar due mainly to injuries over the course of a high school career. We are going to focus on the recruits that have had solid high school careers but have yet to receive a scholarship offer.
Layne Warrick Layne Warrick 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Lake Hamilton | 2021 State AR – Lake Hamilton
The Lake Hamilton quarterback has been injured most of the season, but when he has been in the ballgame he has played impressively. During his career, Warrick has passed for 1,485 yards, 11 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. Warrick has shown that he is not afraid to pull the ball down and run with the ball to pick up key first downs. He has rushed for 661 yards and 13 touchdowns at Lake Hamilton. Warrick is one recruit that I would expect to wind up with an offer before the signing period is over.
Landon Stone Landon Stone 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Magnet Cove | 2021 State AR – Magnet Cove
Smaller schools tend be overlooked during the scouting process and running back Landon Stone Landon Stone 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Magnet Cove | 2021 State AR is a player that will catch scout’s attention. During this season alone, Stone has carried the ball 186 times and rushed 1,550 yards and 14 touchdowns. Magnet Cove runs the triple option and Stone gets the bulk of the carries. Stone has avoided injury most of his career and has the speed and toughness to cause problems for opposing defenses. Stone is a player I would expect to see in the Division II ranks or in the NAIA. He has the talent he simply needs the opportunity.
Hunter Dorsey Hunter Dorsey 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Siloam Springs | 2021 State AR – Siloam Springs
Siloam Springs linebacker Hunter Dorsey Hunter Dorsey 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Siloam Springs | 2021 State AR is a player that tends to show up on the film you are watching consistently. Dorsey is always on the tape; he tends to show up on about every tackle. Dorsey is the definition of a team player and will switch position if it means giving Siloam Springs a better chance to win. In his junior season, Dorsey racked up 94 tackles for Siloam in his junior season, playing on the defensive line and the linebacker positions. Siloam Springs has numerous talented athletes, and it is a school that is starting to gain some recognition with the players it is producing. Dorsey will be a first to show college scouts and recruiters that the school can produce players that will play on Saturday.
Hank Kelly Hank Kelly 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Fayetteville | 2021 State AR – Fayetteville
Hank Kelly Hank Kelly 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Fayetteville | 2021 State AR is the very definition of a sleeper recruit. The Fayetteville offensive lineman has put together a solid career for the Purple Dogs. Kelly is quick out of his stance. He does a good job of getting into his defender. Kelly plays with a mean streak which is evident when you watch some his games. Kelly has the frame to put on a little more weight, but his size is perfect for a school that is looking to build depth on the offensive line. Kelly has been under the radar, but I have my doubts he stays that way as schools look to close out the 2021 class.
Caden Smith Caden Smith 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR West Memphis | 2021 State AR – West Memphis
Caden Smith Caden Smith 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR West Memphis | 2021 State AR has been a solid player at multiple positions for the West Memphis Blue Devils. At the wide receiver position, Smith has proven he can run crisp routes and has a talent for getting open. Smith has the potential to be an ideal slot receiver for a team on Saturdays. Smith is quick enough to cause problems for opposing cornerbacks and is physical enough not to be jammed at the line of scrimmage. Smith has also seen time at the quarterback spot and has displayed an accurate arm. He has the potential to develop at either position, however he has the potential to be special as wide receiver.
