In this Recruiting Report, we head back to Clear Lake, SD and Deuel High School to interview their other playmaker. Carter Hoffman Carter Hoffman 5'5" | 175 lbs | ATH Deuel | 2021 State is a 5’5″ 170 lb. RB/CB for the Cardinals. Although, on paper, he is undersized, he plays like a man with a purpose on the gridiron, very explosive speed, good vision, and lots of power in his center of gravity. He is also very elusive, where if he gets to full speed, he isn’t going down easy. Hoffman led the rushing attack for the Cardinals, in a COVID shortened season, he made the most of every touch, whether its running or catching the football out of the backfield. Check out the interview below:
PRZ: Hello Carter, tell us about your game, and what you love about playing football.
Hoffman: I would say having a great work ethic and wanting to be the best I can be has helped me on the field. I love to learn new things on and off the field.
PRZ: What would you say you need to work on?
Hoffman: I think I need to improve my technique and my footwork.
PRZ: What schools have you been in contact with?
Hoffman: I have talked with Dakota State, Presentation, and Northern State.
PRZ: What was the highlight of your Senior Season?
Hoffman: My favorite thing this year was playing with the team I grew up with. We were like brothers to me, my ride or die crew. My biggest highlight was making the Argus Leader Elite 45.
