For as long as many can recall, the receiver position has long been home to some of the top prospects anywhere.
Turn on any college game – no matter where it may be played – and you will see Florida-bred receivers and slot performers. It has long been that way – and as we have stated in the past, it doesn’t look like it will be changing soon.
As we travel across the state of Florida, we see some elite football talent – at all positions. Today, we bring you five more receiver performers to keep an eye on:
2021 – Dontae Balfour Dontae Balfour 6'2" | 170 lbs | DB Starke-Bradford County | 2021 FL , Starke Bradford County. Huge catalyst for this program this season, coming up with some impressive games that helped this team win games. Earlier this season, he had nine catches for 200 yards and a touchdown plus had a 76-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in showdown with South Sumter. Committed to attend Auburn University.

2021 – Tar’varish Dawson, Lehigh. You look back at the season that this team had – with a number of young players in the mix – and seniors like this quality prospect played a key role. Against Fort Myers earlier this season, he showcased his skills with six catches for 144 yards receiving for two touchdowns.

2021 – Malique Dieudonne, Naples Palmetto Ridge. During a magical year for this program, here is one of those seniors who stepped up to make a huge impact. In a game this season against Naples Gulf Coast, he came up with nine catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns.

2021 – Jermaine Hawkins, Miami Killian. While we all know how tough this year has been for so many prospects still found a way to make a major contribution. Even though the Cougars are not participating in the state playoffs, there are the No. 1 seed in the Tri-County (south Florida teams) playoffs (1A-6A). Prospects like this have been a major asset, coming up with six catches for 145 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Miami Norland.

2021 – Jack Rilling, St. Cloud. One of the senior leaders for a program that continued to make some huge strides this season. A talented and athletic pass catcher, who had the chance to showcase his many skills in 2020. In a victory against Winter Springs, he collected eight receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
