1. Josh Fahrner (JR-RB) – Steele High School (Cibolo, TX)
Steele had a comfortable 50-3 win over Madison to start the playoffs and a big reason behind that is Fahrner who had 189 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Fahrner has been quiet most of the season but lit up in this playoff contest. He has rushed for 481 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
2. De’Traevion Medlock (JR-WR) – Mart High School (Mart, TX)
Mart is heading to the 2A Division II state championships after defeating Falls City 48-21. Medlock had himself a game and was a standout star as he racked up five receptions for 157 yards and three touchdowns. This season, Medlock totals 465 receiving yards and six touchdowns. In this game against Falls City, he also had a reception from a 79-yard bomb.
3. Seth Ford (SR-QB) – Round Rock High School (Round Rock, TX)
Round Rock shocked Central Texas by defeating the traditionally elite Lake Travis 35-21. In this game, Ford truly kicked it into high gear after senior running back Israel Morgan was kept out of the endzone for the first time this season. Ford threw for 119 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 70 yards and two touchdowns, accounting for all the points Round Rock scored in this game. For a while, Ford has taken a step back while Morgan worked his magic, but this time, Ford took the team on his shoulders and balled out to get the upset.
4. Isaiah Quinton-Jackson (SR-RB) – East View High School (Georgetown, TX)
Quinton-Jackson was the main reason why East View had a 49-14 win as the Patriots begin their playoff push. Quinton-Jackson had 120 rushing yards and three touchdowns in just seven carries. Surprisingly, this does not overshadow his last performance against Pflugerville Connally when he rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns. In the past two games, Quinton-Jackson had scored seven touchdowns and has rushed for over 300 yards. On the season, he has 1,007 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.
5. Ryder Hernandez Ryder Hernandez 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Cedar Park | 2021 TX (SR-QB) – Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)
Cedar Park continues its stellar offensive season and undefeated season, now at 10-0, when the Timberwolves defeated Veterans Memorial 72-20 on Friday. Hernandez continued his elite play by throwing for 249 yards and five touchdowns while still not throwing an interception. So far, no defense has been able to cause the senior to throw a pick. Hernandez has become a household name in Central Texas and Cedar Park is quickly emerging as a state champion favorite.
6. Marques Washington (SO-RB) – Seguin High School (Seguin, TX)
Seguin found itself in a shootout against Hendrickson to start the playoffs and just came up short as the Hawks won the contest 74-70. That is a real football score not a basketball one. Despite the loss, Washington had a great performance when he rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns. Washington also had a receiving touchdown in the game, totaling five in the game. He finished off the season with 1,324 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns and he still has two more years with Seguin.
7. Blake Simpson (SR-RB) – Liberty Hill High School (Liberty Hill, TX)
Another undefeated team in Central Texas, Liberty Hill strolled by Glenn on Friday with a 51-0 victory over the Grizzlies. The standout star was Simpson, who rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns. Simpson and senior running back Trey Seward, have both had a successful season with Liberty Hill. For Simpson, he has rushed for 998 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.
8. Ty Reasoner Ty Reasoner 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Johnson | 2021 TX (SR-QB) – Johnson High School (San Antonio, TX)
Johnson was also in a shootout with Wagner but the Jaguars emerged victorious with a 56-42 final score. Reasoner was the main reason Johnson was able to get the victory as he threw for an astounding 410 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception. He finished the game with a 130.8 quarterback rating. This season, Reasoner has thrown for 2,326 yards and 26 touchdowns with five interceptions.
9. Jaden Greathouse Jaden Greathouse 6'2" | 210 lbs | WR Austin Westlake | 2023 State TX (SO-WR) – Westlake High School (Austin, TX)
Last but not least is Greathouse as he and the Chaparrals comfortably walked by Cedar Ridge on Friday with a 57-14 victory. For Greathouse, he had five receptions for 100 yards and three touchdowns. The sophomore has had 796 yards and nine touchdowns this season. The fact that Greathouse is just a sophomore with these numbers should scare anyone within the district because he will be around for a while.
