The Silver Foxes added a fifth consecutive state championship to their coffers Friday night with a 28-6 victory over T.L. Hanna in the Class 5A title game. They’re the only team to earn that distinction since the Palmetto State moved to five classifications in 2016, and this was simply another three-touchdown game where the coach Tom Knotts’ team made it look easy.
These players capped off an impressive 2020 season with yet another big showing.
JARVIS GREEN, RUNNING BACK
Throw two more games into this abbreviated season, and the sophomore tailback turns even more heads by topping the 1,000-yard mark. As it stands, he’s going to finish with 750 yards and 13 touchdowns and average better than seven yards per carry.

All that rain prevented the future Clemson baseball player from slinging it around more. But in nine attempts, he still threw for 147 yards. add in another 82 yards and two scores from the ground, and he kept the Dutch Fork quarterback-to-Tiger Diamond connection rolling.
C.J. WICKER, LINEBACKER
He entered the game with 70 total tackles, so it’s not as if anyone expected him to drop off against such a run-based offense. He didn’t disappoint. Against T.L. Hanna, Wicker piled up 15 stops and added a forced fumble and a recovery.
