Another week has come and gone in this unparalleled 2020 high school football season, and with it another batch of promising college football recruits have shown themselves as forces to be reckoned with on the gridiron and had outstanding individual performances this past Friday and Saturday in Minnesota. Some of these noteworthy efforts found themselves on the radar of <em>PrepRedzoneMN</em> and were exemplary enough to earn a "Player of the Week Award." Find out who balled out below!
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="24439" first="Jaden" last="Kolker"] </strong><em>(Renville County West) </em>ATH. 5’11, 205 lbs. In two quarters of play the senior posted 9 tackles defensively and 10 rushes for 156 yards and 3 TDs offensively, as well as 2 receptions for 25 yards against <em>Mountain Lake Area</em>.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="49849" first="Andrew" last="Ali"] </strong><em>(St. Paul Highland Park) </em>LB. 5’11, 210 lbs. 2022. In an overtime vs. against rival <em>St. Paul Central </em>the junior backer totaled 14 tackles, 4 TFLs, 3 sacks, and a PBU.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18109" first="Logan" last="Freeburg"] </strong><em>(Lakeville North) </em>RB. 5’9, 195 lbs. In only one quarter of play against <em>White Bear Lake </em>the Minnesota State University-Moorhead commit tallied 4 carries for 127 yards and 3 TDs. Later in the game he also had a 50 yard TD rush called back for a misalignment at another offensive position.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18131" first="Andrew" last="Gotziaman"] </strong><em>(MPLS Washburn) </em>QB. 6’3, 210 lbs. Had a crazy stat line of 311 passing yards and 5 TDs plus 35 rushing yards in a win over <em>St. Croix Lutheran.</em>
<strong>Micha Hobin </strong><em>(Park Center) </em>RB/QB/ATH. 5’10, 185 lbs. Took over at quarterback for the <em>Pirates </em>in a Week 5 matchup against <em>Forest Lake </em>and went 10/20 for 200 yards and 2 passing TDs + 7 carries for 50 yards on the ground.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18071" first="Nick" last="Flaskamp"] </strong><em>(MPLS Southwest) </em>LB/RB. 5’11, 210 lbs. In a big win against the <em>Richfield Spartans </em>the <em>Laker </em>runningback rushed 24 times for 245 yards and 5 TDs in two quarters of play.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="22948" first="Ty" last="Hoese"] </strong><em>(Mayer Lutheran) </em>QB. 6’2, 185 lbs. 2022. The Week 5 matchup for <em>Mayer Lutheran </em>against <em>Cleveland </em>saw the junior gunslinger throw for 240 yards and 5 passing TDs.
<strong>Jack Morsching</strong> <em>(Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton) </em>5’8, 165 lbs. Against <em>Waterville-Elysian-Morristown </em>he rushed for 3 TDs.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="19010" first="Cole" last="Hentges"] </strong><em>(Sartell-St. Stephen) </em>QB. 5’11 180 lbs. 2023. Playing against <em>St. Cloud Technical </em>the sophomore QB went 6 for 6 for 145 yards and 3 TDs plus 2 rushes for 30 yards and a TD.
<strong>William Katchmark </strong><em>(Columbia Heights) </em>DL/OL. 5’11, 225 lbs. Versus <em>Bloomington Kennedy </em>the two-way standout had 9 tackles, 4 TFLs, and a FF.
<strong>Kmari Watson </strong><em>(Park Center) </em>OLB. 6’, 200 lbs. The senior backer made 11 tackles, 3 PBUs, 2 TFLs against <em>Coon Rapids </em>for the <em>Park Center Pirates. </em>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18088" first="Ethan" last="Torgrimson"] </strong><em>(Sartell-St. Stephen) </em>ATH. 6’1, 205 lbs. In a Week 5 matchup vs. <em>St. Cloud Tech </em>he totaled 155 total yards, a touchdown, and 6 tackles and 2 sacks.
<strong>Josiah Hedensten </strong><em>(Medford) </em>LB/RB. Competing against <em>Randolph </em>the senior stud rushed for 212 yards, caught 35 yards of reception yards, scored 5 TDs, and made 13 tackles.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18448" first="Carson" last="Cyr"] </strong><em>(Anoka) </em>K/P. 6’, 175 lbs. 2022. Boomed a 71 yard punt that was in the air for nearly 4 seconds (3.71 sec) against the <em>Maple Grove Crimson </em>last weekend.
<strong>McCabe Dvorak </strong><em>(St. Louis Park) </em>WR/DB. 6’2, 220 lbs. In one of the biggest upsets of the season as <em>St. Louis Park </em>toppled Class 4A #2 ranked <em>Orono </em>the big-time playmaker caught 14 passes for 144 yards and 2 TDs, as well as 7 tackles and 3 (!) interceptions.
<strong>Marselio Mendez </strong><em>(Cretin-Derham Hall) </em>ATH. Playing against the <em>Stillwater Ponies </em>he had 7 catches for 158 yards and 2 TDs plus 10 tackles and a TFL on defense. He had 265 total all-purpose yards.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18554" first="Leyton" last="Simmering"] </strong><em>(Rosemount) </em>K/P. 6’1, 145 lbs. 2022. Booted a 45-yard FG against <em>Burnsville </em>successfully last Friday.
<strong>August Butler </strong><em>(MPLS Roosevelt) </em>QB. 6’2, 200 lbs. Scored the go ahead 5-yard TD run with only 36 seconds left in the game to complete a comeback against <em>Academy Force </em>in which the <em>Teddies </em>trailed 23-8 with less than half of the 3rd quarter remaining.
<strong>Carson Hansen </strong><em>(Lakeville South) </em>RB. 6’, 180 lbs. 2023. During a big 6A Metro matchup against <em>Farmington </em>the sophomore rushed for 111 yards and 4 TDs.
<strong>Tony Bruskiewicz </strong><em>(Concordia Academy) </em>RB. Against <em>MPLS Patrick Henry </em>he rushed for 170 yards and 2 TDs.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18039" first="Michael" last="Olowo"] </strong><em>(Rogers) </em>DB/WR. 6’1, 190 lbs. Recorded 3 catches for 3 TDs in 3 quarters of play against <em>Sauk Rapids-Rice. </em>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18537" first="Ismael" last="Kante"] </strong><em>(Park Center) </em>LB. 6’2, 190 lbs. 2022. Playing against <em>Coon Rapids </em>he made 12 total tackles and 3 TFLs.
<strong>Austin Ayobamidele </strong><em>(Park Center) </em>WR/DB. 6’2, 170 lbs. 2022. Playing against <em>Coon Rapids </em>he caught 4 balls for 145 yards and a TD.
<strong>Brady Perryman </strong><em>(Park of Cottage Grove) </em>WR/DB. 5’11, 160 lbs. 2022. Against <em>Forest Lake </em>recorded 8 catches for 131 yards and a TD plus an interception on defense.
<strong>Camden Ludeman </strong><em>(Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial) </em>ATH. 5’11, 190 lbs. Against <em>GFW </em>rushed for 264 yards and 2 TDs plus two 2pt conversions.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18065" first="Jake" last="Schwinghammer"] </strong><em>(Tartan) </em>Competing against <em>South St. Paul </em>the defensive standout posted 15 tackles, 3 TFLs, and an interception.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18196" first="Jonny" last="Woodford"] </strong><em>(Benilde-St. Margaret’s) </em>WR. 6’1, 190 lbs. Balled out vs. <em>Holy Angels </em>to the tune of 6 catches for 129 yards and 2 TDs.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18068" first="Will" last="Falldorf"] </strong><em>(Bemidji) </em>RB. Went crazy against <em>Alexandria </em>for 27 rushes for 219 yards and 3 TDs.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="49958" first="Jordan" last="McClom"] </strong><em>(Robbinsdale Armstrong) </em>DB. Playing against <em>St. Cloud Apollo </em>he had 3 tackles, a PBU, an interception, and a FF.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="18183" first="Jacqui" last="Fitzpatrick"] </strong><em>(Moorhead) </em>WR. 6’2, 205 lbs. In a blowout win vs. <em>Brainerd </em>he made an absurd leaping TD catch in the endzone that made the Sportscenter Top-10 Plays from this past weekend.
