If it happened you’ll hear about it here! This will be an ongoing, weekly piece capping off the results of the previous weekend’s games.
We take a closer look at each Blue division bout from the first week in November, including a 1st round playoff victory.
New Hope Solebury 28 – Archbishop Carroll (2-2) 34
The season took a turn for the better as the Patriots win a close one against New Hope Solebury after losing consecutive games by one-possession each. Quarterback Nick Lamey’s talent was on full display yet again as the rising prospect threw for a season-high 271 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for just under 50 yards and another score. Lamey has now posted back-to-back season highs against solid defenses and is now just 165 yards away from posting a 1,000-yard campaign. Brennan Robinson and Malachi Hansen have been reaping the rewards. This was Hansen’s second multi-TD game of the year where he absolutely went off for 9 receptions, 194 yards, and two touchdowns. Robinson, the team’s leading rusher, has scored in every game this season, recording 2 rushing, receiving, and kick return touchdowns on the year. Keep an eye out for senior prospect Darryl Simpson Jr. The 6’4″ defensive end and pass catcher has 2 touchdown catches on the year, all the while leading the team in tackles (28), sacks (5), and TFL’s (14).
Bishop McDevitt (3-1) 47 – Dunmore 7
The BM lancers win big at Dunmore in what was a rout of the 1st round Class 2A Playoff. This is McDevitt’s third straight win in what has been a dominant 3-week span. BM has outscored its opponents 103-13 during this undefeated stretch. Much of this offensive explosion can be afforded to 6’3″ senior quarterback Nick Santo, who much like Lamey, posted a season-high 221 yards through the air on 10 for 14 passing for four touchdowns. This comes with the return of star junior prospect Emmanuel Sia Emmanuel Sia 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Bishop McDevitt, Wyncote | 2022 State PA . Sia returned to action and was a difference-maker to say the least, recording three receptions for 77 yards and 3 touchdowns on the night. The production from the trio of Santo, Sia, and Wright-Downing will prove vital for future success. It’s also worth mentioning that runningback James Bermudez James Bermudez 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Northeast | 2023 State PA surpassed 300 yards on the season with a modest seven attempts for 52 yards. Johnny Pergine and Semaj Bridgeman Semaj Bridgeman 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Imhotep Charter | 2023 State PA continue to be active behind the line of scrimmage for BM, combining for a total of 46 total tackles, 16 of which went for a loss.
Salesianum (DE) 21 – Lansdale Catholic (0-3) 12
Another rough loss for Lansdale who fall to 0-3 on the year with a close loss to Delaware’s Salesianum. Two of the three losses have come by nine points or less. There’s certainly effort being displayed by players on LC, untimely mistakes however continue to turn potential wins into losses. Jeron Phillips showed said effort, posting a modest 11/16, 76yd, 1 TD stat line through the air, while also running for 50 yards on the ground. Three defensive players have been doing all they can to keep the games in hand. Luke Shrager leads the team in tackles (23) and also contributes on the offensive side of the ball, accounting for more than 100+ scrimmage yards on the year. Josh Brown has made plays, he’s second on the team with 17 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovering returned 80 yards for a touchdown this past weekend. Tyler Van Osten came up with LC’s lone interception of the year against Salesianum.
Conwell-Egan (2-2) 38 – Central Bucks East 20
Huge road win for the Eagles who now look to continue their winning ways for two consecutive weeks. A 2-2 record has them squarely in the middle of the PCL standings. Conwell-Egan flexed their muscles and absolutely ran all over the Central Bucks defense, shredding them for nearly 300 yards on just 34 carries. Old Dominion commit and star senior Khian’dre Harris Khian’dre Harris 5'9" | 165 lbs | RB Conwell-Egan Catholic | 2021 PA did it again this week rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns while barely breaking a sweat. Harris ripped off 16.5 yards per carry and even threw the ball some as C-E looks to find a passing attack that wasn’t needed in this game. Andrew Garwo Andrew Garwo 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Conwell-Egan Catholic | 2021 PA continued to lock things down in the secondary while also reeling in 3 catches for 47 yards. Emmanuel Nukah and Semaj Moore have combined for 40 tackles on the year, with Moore leading the team in sacks (3.5) and TFLs (6).
