Seth Malcom Seth Malcom 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Fremont Mills | 2021 IA , a Nebraska commit, ran for 293 yards on 40 carries, scoring four touchdowns to lead Fremont-Mills to the championship, 32-30.
Malcom has been one of the top players in the state, and he was able to shine once more on the grand stage inside the UNI-Dome. He also caught a 12-yard pass, averaged 42.5 yards on two punts with both landing inside the 20 and made 10 total tackles including two for loss.
Jake Malcom picked off a pair of passes and threw for 100 yards, hitting four different receivers while adding a rushing score.
The difference in the game was third-down conversions. Fremont-Mills was 7 of 13 compared to just 2-for-7 by Don Bosco.
Malcom showed off his speed and quickness late in the fourth, darting 50 yards to give Fremont-Mills a 32-22 lead. The Dons answered just 34 seconds later, but would get no closer.
Malcom also scored on runs of 6, 2, 74 and 8 yards.
Cael Frost, the do-everything quarterback for Don Bosco, threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns, adding 62 yards and a score on the ground. Dillon Welter caught four passes and Ryan Naughton caught a pair of scores.
