Iowa City Regina featured one of the most dynamic offensive trios in the state with seniors [player_tooltip player_id="23835" first="Ashton" last="Cook"], Theo Kolie and [player_tooltip player_id="23898" first="Alec" last="Wick"].
The group, along with the rest of the Regal players, hoisted another state championship recently, this time in Class A.
And while Cook and Wick easily could have been named the top player in the class, Kolie stood out just a little more.
Taking a look at the numbers for the talented running back show that Kolie carried the ball 214 times for 1,599 yards with 35 touchdowns. That comes out to 7.5 yards per carry, making it pretty easy on second- and third-down to pick up the first and move the chains.
Quickness, being able to shake off defenders and explosive speed make Kolie the complete package.

But Kolie is far from just a standard running back. He also has great skills out of the backfield, catching 28 passes for 438 yards and two more touchdowns. In that role, he posted 15.6 yards per reception - a great way to quickly move down the field.
Kolie displays great power on first contact, constantly getting through the first would-be defender. Once in the open field, his speed takes over.
Again, Kolie is not just focused on the offensive side of the football. He’s also a dominant defensive player.
Kolie recorded 21.5 tackles including 18 solo stops with 2.5 sacks on the year.
An imposing figure wherever he lines up, Kolie stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 175 pounds. And for as gifted as he is playing on the offense, he could really be a big-time impact player on defense.
He is extremely quick and agile off the edge, making it difficult for tackles to keep their hands on them.
Other players considered for the award include Cook, Wick, [player_tooltip player_id="23982" first="Logan" last="Knaack"] of Grundy Center, [player_tooltip player_id="23848" first="Ryan" last="Cole"] of Saint Ansgar, Cole Kelly from West Hancock and [player_tooltip player_id="23911" first="Caleb" last="Bacon"] from Lake Mills.
