Jackson will attend the game between Texas and Baylor on October 24. Texas has been recruiting Jackson harder than most schools.
“I’m really excited to get out there,” Jackson told Greg Biggins of 247Sports. “Right now, Texas is recruiting me harder then anyone and that’s why I decided to take this visit. I said before that I wanted to try and visit all the schools in my top 10 and as hard as Texas is recruiting me, it just made sense to give them that first visit.”
Jackson told Biggins that Texas head coach Tom Herman has been personally involved in recruiting him.
He is the top player in the state for the class of 2022 according to Prep Redzone and the No. 3 player nationally in the class according to 247Sports.
“In terms of a timeframe for making a decision, I’m looking at doing it either in January or maybe April,” Jackson told Biggins. “I don’t want any distractions during my season so I could do it before we start or wait until after our season is over. If I know and I’m comfortable with it, I’ll do it in January. If not, I’ll wait and do it later in the year.”
He currently has a top 10 of Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas and USC. Some recruiting experts expect him to go to USC.

Top player to skip senior season
Muir (Pasadena) defensive back Jamier Johnson Jamier Johnson 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB John Muir | 2021 State CA will forgo his senior season at Muir to enroll early at Texas.

He was a two-way player on a Muir team that went 11-3 and was a CIF-SS Division 11 runner up. He had four interceptions.
Johnson is the third ranked defensive back in the state for the class of 2021 according to Prep Redzone and the No.19 overall prospect.
Arizona State offers Bosco freshman
Class of 2024 defensive back Peyton Woodyard from St. John Bosco High in Bellflower was offered by Arizona State over the weekend.
Woodyard is 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and has been impressing scouts at camps and workouts the past few months.
Arizona State has been very active in recruiting Trinity League recruits in the 2024 class.
While Arizona State is the first school to offer Woodyard, scouts believe he will be a national recruit down the road.
