Going into this years game, Lowndes is 4-0 on the season, and Valdosta is 2-1, after having lost their star QB, Jake Garcia, due to ineligibility. While Lowndes may have the edge going into this game, it is almost always a heated battle, in which a win is never guaranteed. Lowndes star QB, Jacurri Brown Jacurri Brown 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Lowndes | 2022 State GA will hope to be able to continue his great season, while utilizing his top weapon, WR, Chase Belcher. The Vikings defense will also do its part, as defensive players TJ Quinn, and LB, Thomas Davis will create key stops for their team. Lowndes is not the only team that will be competing with the use of star power though. The Wildcats strong WR corps, including Tajh Sanders Tajh Sanders 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Valdosta | 2022 State GA , Javonte Sherman Javonte Sherman 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Valdosta | 2021 State GA , and Aalah Brown Aalah Brown 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Valdosta | 2021 State GA , will do their best to dismantle the Viking’s secondary. Camden County vs Coffee
What’s not to like about a match up where Camden County is already 4-1 on the season, and Coffee is 3-1. These two teams, who have had very successful seasons so far, are looking for a big win against each other this week. Coffee has plenty of key players in this game, who’s performance will be key in a potential win for their team. To start, QB, AJ Wilkerson has to play well, and getting WR, Maurice Turner involved will certainly be beneficial in doing so. With this, their defense has to hold up well against a strong Camden County offense. Players such as Alris Sutton, and Anthony Gaskin will have to step up to the plate. On Camden County’s side of the field, they will hope to assert dominance, through the use of offensive force. Players such as Jamie Felix Jamie Felix 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Camden County | 2022 State GA , Shawn Hardy Shawn Hardy 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Camden County | 2021 State GA , and Micah Morris Micah Morris 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL Camden County | 2021 State GA have been key players so far this season, and being able to run the football, while also making plays after the catch, will be huge for their team. Benedictine vs Ware
While many people many not be excited about this game, we certainly are. The reason for being is due to the fact that both teams are underrated in the state of Georgia, and both happen to be undefeated at this point in the season. With that being said, one team will have to leave with their first loss of the season. This game, being a test for each team, will show where each program is moving into the rest of the season. For Benedictine, QB, Holden Geriner Holden Geriner 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Benedictine | 2022 State GA , RB, LeShon Brooks, and WR, Trent Broadnax Trent Broadnax 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Benedictine | 2021 State GA will all be players to keep an eye on for the offensive side of the football. With this, the leader in sacks throughout the entire state, LB, Holden Sapp, will also be someone to watch. While Ware has their hands full of talent to deal with this week, they also have players of their own who will hope to silence the noise that Benedictine is drawing in this season. While Holden Geriner Holden Geriner 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Benedictine | 2022 State GA has been gaining his fair share of attention, Ware’s QB, Thomas Castellanos Thomas Castellanos 5'11" | 190 lbs | QB Ware County | 2022 State GA , will hope to edge him out in a showdown. In doing so, WR’s Brandon Mills, and Jalen Melvin will be instrumental in his overall success, and with the amount of point they are able to put up through the air. With this, defensive players, TK Norton, and Michael Mincey Michael Mincey 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Ware County | 2021 State GA will hope to keep their strong seasons rolling, while also putting Benedictine to a halting stop.
North Gwinnett vs North Cobb
This match up is perhaps one of the games we are looking forward to the most. North Gwinnett marches into this game with a 3-2 record, while North Cobb is 4-0. Don’t get North Gwinnett’s record confused though, because they are a very talented team. In this match up, you will get to see an impressive defense from their side of the field. This will feature players such as Clemson LB commit, Barrett Carter Barrett Carter 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB North Gwinnett | 2021 State GA , and CB’s, Jordan Hancock Jordan Hancock 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB North Gwinntett | 2021 State GA and Jayson Gilliom. On the offensive side of the ball, they will feature players such as Cade Funderburk, and Bobby Ezzard Bobby Ezzard 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR North Gwinnett | 2021 State GA . Overall, this team will match up well against a very strong North Cobb team, that includes the likes of QBs, Trevor Lovett, and Malachi Singleton Malachi Singleton 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB North Cobb | 2023 State GA , as well as their star Safety, Nasir Howell. Look for North Cobb to also utilize its defensive front very effectively, by putting players such as Joshua Josephs in position to disrupt North Gwinnett’s offensive plans.
