Last week Yoe fell to Lorena 28-20, while McGregor had a bye.
The signature win for Cameron this season came in week 3 against #7 Franklin, but since then they have been inconsistent. They are led by QB Zane Zeinert, who has thrown for just over 1200-yards and 15TDs; 7 of those TD’s have gone to his favorite target Za’Korien Spikes.
McGregor’s was beat by Lorena 41-14 before the bye and their offense really struggled to move the ball against the Leopards. The Bulldogs need their key playmakers VeAndre McDaniel and Chad Lorenz to get going early in order to win this game.
This is a must win game for both teams if they want an opportunity to make the playoffs.
Rockdale (5-3, 3-1) @ Troy (5-3, 3-1)
Last week Rockdale cruised past Academy 44-13, while Troy took care of Caldwell 21-6.
Rockdale appears to be the best team in this district right now and they are led by Texas Tech commit Cam’Ron Valdez Cam’Ron Valdez 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Rockdalde | 2021 TX . Valdez has rushed for 1,056-yards and 17TDs this season.
Troy is led by Sam Houston State commit Zach Hrbach, who is on the brink of rushing for 2000-yards this season and has 35TDs. Troy was missing a number of key players last week against Caldwell, including Hrbach, so if they don’t have those guys back this week it could get ugly.
Bremond (6-2, 3-0) @ #1 Mart (8-0, 4-0) Sat.
Bremond is coming off a 48-20 win over Chilton on Monday night, while Mart rolled past Wortham 63-0 on Monday.
Bremond is a very good team led by QB Seth Kasowski, who has thrown for over 700-yards and rushed for over 1,500 yards and has 28 total touchdowns.
Mart is a juggernaut and the Panthers have outscored their past three opponents 190-0. Roddrell Freeman Roddrell Freeman 6'1" | 220 lbs | ATH Mart | 2021 TX leads the charge for the Panthers passing for 866-yards and rushing for 728-yards with 24 total touchdowns.
Connally 5-3, 3-1) @ #7 China Spring (7-1, 3-1)
Last week Connally knocked off Gatesville 56-21 and China Spring routed Robinson 70-0.
Kavian Gaither and Tre Wiser make the Cadets offense difficult to stop. Gaither had 3TDs last week, while Wisner added 3 as well.
The Cougars offense is very explosive, and it starts with their RB Emmanuel Abdallah. Abdallah had 4TDs last week. Defensively, China Spring is led by LB Almear Degrate and DE Coltin Locking.
Waco High (1-2, 0-2) @ Midway (0-3, 0-1)
Last week Waco High fell to #2 Duncanville 56-9, while Midway fell to Mansfield 28-24.
The Lions’ offense is led by QB Nate Reyna, RB Jaelyn Laster and WR Braylon Martinez. Reyna has thrown for almost 400-yards and 3TDs, while Laster has 2 rushing TDs and Martinez has 4TDs this season.
Midway has improved every week, but they still struggle finishing games. Jaylon Gibson hauled in two TD receptions last week and RB Jaden Johnson rushed for 2TDs.
