Pittsburgh City-League Now with Top-End Talent
The Pittsburgh City League is back and better than ever. Right now, we believe they have 5 FBS caliber Football Players right now playing. It has been a long time since so much talent has played in the city. We break down each player here, and will continue to break down FCS and more prospects in the future.
Ta’Mere Robinson Ta’Mere Robinson 6'3" | 225 lbs | LB Brashear | 2023 State PA – Brashear – SAF/OLB – ‘23: Huge daunting presence in the middle of the field. Excellent open field tackler. Reads the offense well. Makes plays on the ball and most importantly is the most physical player in the ‘23 class. He probably projects down in the box as he gets older and continues to fill out his frame. He a bonafide P5 player
Tyreese Fearby – Perry – DE – ‘22: At 6’3 215, he is an athletic specimen who does some really awesome stuff. He has a great get off, and bends as well as anybody off the edge.Getting to the QB is his bread and butter. He controls the edge with his length. Very physical and wants to tackle. Doesn’t play with his hands super great and doesn’t get off of blocks but his ceiling is sky high. He is a Power-5 football player
Kameron Cheatom Kameron Cheatom 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Brashear | 2023 State PA – Brashear – DE – ‘23: Big presence coming off the edge that is physical and has a good motor. Solid tackler and he uses his hands well. He is athletic enough to make plays on the QB i.e. swatting the ball down or keeping him in the pocket. First step is just okay, same with his explosiveness and change of direction, which are all usually correlated with each other. In two years he will be a P5 player. He is physical, plays with leverage, and has good straight line speed right now.
Darius Bruce Darius Bruce 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB George Westinghouse | 2021 State PA – Westinghouse – DB – ‘21: Playing at a very high level right now, thought he might be a safety at the next level but he has been playing corner and his hips look loose and fluid and he has been making plays on the ball that have me thinking he could be a corner in a pinch. Right now I think he is a G5 player, he hits hard, is an excellent tackler in the open field, and moves well. At 5’11 he is good to go. Very under-recruited prospect
Keith Norman – University Prep – LB – ‘21: The tall, rangy LB plays the run great and hits hard. He flies through gaps to find the ball carrier and uses his length to his advantage. His best trait is rushing the passer. If he fills out his 6’3 frame, he very well could be coming off the edge with his hand in the dirt. His ability to bend is impressive. Right now an FCS program could absolutely steal him. He has very high upside.
