We’re through week six and just like that, the regular season is in the books. Several conference championships were claimed on Friday night and some teams put the finishing touches on what was a great regular season. Below I’ll break down the top performers from the OK Conference.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="54861" first="Zak" last="Ahern"], Rockford</h6>
Zak threw for two rushing touchdowns and passed for an additional two in Rockford’s 28-7 win over previously undefeated Grandville. Rockford heads into the Division I playoffs with a 4-0 record.
<h6>Hunter Robinson, QB, Forest Hills Central</h6>
Hunter rushed for 204 yards and scored four touchdowns on the ground and threw for an additional touchdown through the air in the Ranger’s 34-14 win over Lowell. Forest Hills Central claimed a share of the OK White title with Byron Center dropping it’s game against East Grand Rapids.
<h6>Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Forest Hills Northern</h6>
Trinidad compiled 314 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns during Northern’s 42-14 win over Northview. Forest Hills Northern has won four games in a row after starting 0-2.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="29778" first="Nick" last="Hollern"], RB, Grand Rapids Catholic Central</h6>
Nick ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns in Catholic Central’s 28-27 overtime win over South Christian. The win gives the Cougars the outright OK Gold championship.
<h6>Ty Rynbrandt, QB, South Christian</h6>
Ty completed 18 of 24 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns in South Christian’s loss.
<h6>Justin Holtz, QB, Wayland</h6>
Justin scored three touchdowns, recovered a fumble, and grabbed an interception in Wayland’s 33-6 win over Ottawa Hills. The win ended the Wildcats 17-game losing streak.
<h6>[player_tooltip player_id="29776" first="Malekhi" last="Obande"], RB, Unity Christian</h6>
Malekhi rushed 11 times for 118 yards and scored one touchdown to help lead the Crusaders to a 42-6 win over Allendale. Unity Christian finishes the regular season with a perfect 6-0 record.
<h6>Tim Kloska, RB, West Catholic</h6>
Tim carried the ball 16 times for 192 yards and three touchdowns in West Catholic’s 35-7 win over Hamilton. The Falcons finished a game behind Unity Christian in the OK Blue at 5-1.
