Week three turned out to be our closest matchup of the season between myself (Mark Johnson) and Oliver West as the winner pulled it off by only 17.5 points. The stats and performances that the athletes are putting up are getting more and more impressive each week as Oliver finished with his highest score of the season to date, and I (Mark) had my second best week of the season. Take a look at who won, the points scored from each player, and a recap of the matchup below!
Oliver’s team had a dominant week across the board. When you look at each individual positional matchup Oliver’s squad won the matchups 6-3. He continues to have unreal play from the QB position behind Riley Christensen Riley Christensen 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Belmont | 2021 State WI ’s dual threat performance of 84 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 255 rushing yards, and 3 TDs. His team also got a big boost from TE Garrett Gillette Garrett Gillette 6'5" | 225 lbs | TE Mukwonago | 2021 State WI ’s big night last Friday where he put up 92 receiving yards and a TD. Add in Matteo Bonnin Matteo Bonnin 6'3" | 210 lbs | WR Hudson | 2021 State WI ’s first appearance on the team and his big night rushing for 142 yards, 54 receiving yards, and scoring twice, along with Tate Sauerwein Tate Sauerwein 5'10" | 210 lbs | LB Lake Holcombe-Cornell | 2021 State WI ’s 273 rushing yards, and 3 TDs, and several other matchup wins and you end up with the second best scoring performance of the fantasy season! Oliver’s team is on the come-up and he currently sits at a 1-2 record after three weeks and is looking to even up the season series in week 4.
My team, Mark’s Team, continues to ride the dominant QB and RB performances. QB Adam Moen Adam Moen 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Lake Mills | 2021 State WI went off last Friday as he put up 326 passing yards, 1 passing TD, along with 102 rushing yards and 3 TDs. For the second time in three weeks I went with the RB heavy lineup, which usually pays off in standard scoring. It almost did thanks to three elite performances at the position. RB Tanner Marsh Tanner Marsh 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Mondovi | 2021 State WI did his usual thing and put up 275 rushing yards, and 3 TDs. RB Alex Current Alex Current 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Muskego | 2021 State WI continued to be the most efficient RB in the state with his 174 rushing yards, and 3 TDs on only 6 carries. He also added in a reception for 27 yards. The third piece at the RB spot that helped keep this matchup as close as it was is Dylan Dohr Dylan Dohr 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB Hilbert | 2021 State WI . Dylan went off for 233 rushing yards and 2 TDs. The team currently sits at 2-1 on the season and is looking to get back on the winning side in week 4.
