1. Logan Shaw – Cedar Park High School (Cedar Park, TX)
Shaw is a part of what is known as the Black Rain defense from Cedar Park. In his junior season, he totaled 20 tackles with eight being solo and had five tackles for loss. He also garnered three sacks and seven quarterback hurries in 2019. On top of that, he forced three fumbles. As the senior season progresses, he currently has one tackle for loss and two quarterback hurries this season as listed by MaxPreps. He currently has offers from Bethel College, Sul Ross, Howard Payne University, Trinity, UTPB and ETBU.
2. Nick Morris – Westlake High School (Westlake, TX)
Morris has received multiple offers from Pennsylvania, Columbia and Oklahoma State. However, he is currently committed to Pennsylvania as of January. This season, Morris has racked up 18 total tackles with 14 being solo and seven being for a loss. He currently has five sacks and one hurry recorded on MaxPreps. Considering the elite level of play by Westlake year after year, Morris is one to watch especially if he gets more Division I offers.
3. Justino Escobar – Brennan High School (San Antonio, TX)
Team captain of Brennan, Escobar is one to watch as he received District 28-6A First-Team All-District honors as an outside linebacker. In his junior season, he recorded 70 total tackles with 21 being for a loss. He also had four sacks and had one interception in his sophomore season. His offers include St. Norbert, Pacific, St. Olaf, Culver-Stockton, Rose-Hulman, Carthage College, Bethel College, Puget Sound and Benedictine College.
4. Willie Simmons III Willie Simmons III 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Elgin | 2021 TX – Elgin High School (Elgin, TX)
The 17th ranked linebacker in Prep Redzone’s 2021 Texas High School Rankings, Simmons is one to watch out for as he received unanimous First-Team All-District honors. He has recorded more than 85 tackles, 10 sacks, six forced fumbles, one interception, one blocked punt and one blocked field goal in his high school career so far. He committed to North Texas back in April but has also received offers from Air Force, Lamar, Missouri State and New Mexico.
5. Brett Hargrove – Cedar Ridge High School (Round Rock, TX)
Hargrove has received All-District 13-6A honors and is a team captain for the Raiders. He has a 4.69 40-yard dash, a 4.39 shuttle, a 28-inch vertical, has benched 265 pounds, squatted 445 pounds and cleaned 275 pounds. Defensively, Cedar Ridge has kept opposing teams to under 20 points so far this season and, along with his teammates, Hargrove has helped with that. He and the rest of the Raider defensive are key to watch this season in District 25.
