Tyson Bautch, ATH, Centennial (MN)/Twin Cities Aces (2024)
Bautch, a promising young quarterback from the 2024 class, filled in at wide receiver last Sunday and led all Aces at wide receiver with eight receptions, yards, and touchdowns. The Cougars might find this young prospect might have the versatility to go around.

Sam Rensch Sam Rensch 6'6" | 205 lbs | DB Hutchinson | 2022 State MN , WR, Hutchinson (MN)/Hutchinson (2022)
When I watched Rensch last Sunday, I got a first glimpse of how long the Tigers will be this season. Sitting high in our new 2022 rankings, Rensch has excellent ball awareness and has very consistent speed and tons of length standing at 6’6. Rensch reminds me of a lot of Trey Longstreet Trey Longstreet 6'7" | TE Delano | 2021 State MN of Delano but with better route running ability and better wheels. Should be an attractive suitor at either WR/DB at the next level!
Carnell Tate Carnell Tate 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR IMG Academy | 2023 State FL , WR, Marist (IL)/Midwest Boom (2023)
Tate’s first step, once the ball is snapped, is something special and is a prospect that comes around only once in a while. Can run any route on all three levels and will burn a corner on any route that runs on a slant or a first cut. A prospect out of Marist High School that already has a ton of Division I offers on his plate as a 4-star prospect on the horizon.
Camden Royal Camden Royal 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Cooper | 2022 State MN , RB, Robbinsdale Cooper (MN)/Hitmen (2022)
The stock on Royal this summer has been rising very quickly, and we at PRZ Minnesota have taken notice, making Royal our #1 RB in the 2022 Class in our most recent update in the last couple weeks. Royal’s up and down acceleration are what struck me most on Sunday and on tape. Camden averaged over 11 yards per carry for BSM last season before transferring to Robbinsdale Cooper, which will future have one of the most exciting offenses you will want to watch this season with Joseph Russell Joseph Russell 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Cooper | 2022 State MN at QB, Royal at RB, David Connors at WR, and #1 2023 TE in Jaxon Howard Jaxon Howard 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Cooper | 2023 State MN as well as other Hawks prospects. Royal has grabbed his first Power 5 offer a few weeks back from the Pac 12, and I bet you it will not even be close to his last, as this is the next big-time RB prospect Minnesota has to offer.
Jay Homuth Jay Homuth 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Burnsville | 2022 State MN , WR, Burnsville (MN)/Twin Cities Aces (2022)
We’ve got a ton of length on this list as we take a look at another 6’5+ wide receiver in Jay Homuth Jay Homuth 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Burnsville | 2022 State MN of Burnsville. Homuth logged in double digits in the reception category on the day and logged in a critical TD reception in their upset win over Team Full Gorilla. As far as the tape, you need to know that Homuth has gotten much faster over the summer after working with his trainer and now runs in the mid to high 4s. Acquired some Division I interest come in on September 1st, as to why not? Homuth catches any ball that comes near him.
Dino Kaliakmanis Dino Kaliakmanis 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Antioch | 2021 State IL , WR, Antioch (IL)/EFT (2021)
Holy buckets can this kid run hard. It’s no surprise this Gopher commit has an accelerator that goes from 0 to 60 in a few quick seconds. His route running is superb, too, as he makes such a variety of cuts that almost look unhuman that will take DBs for a ride on a roller coaster they will want to get off very quickly.
Spencer Alvarez Spencer Alvarez 6'7" | 245 lbs | TE Columbia Heights | 2022 State MN , TE, Columbia Heights (MN) (2022)
Alvarez is an absolute monster at tight end and played a vital role in the Hitmen’s success last Sunday. Spencer has such a sturdy frame and can give you that tough guy first down you are looking for offensively. On tape, he’s also a beast of a blocker. Alvarez may come from a very under the radar program, but don’t let his talent fool you into thinking this three-sport athlete and all-district honorable mention can’t play some football. He could also be a pleasant DE prospect if he can develop a little more speed as the strength is already there.
Ernest Evans, WR, Robbinsdale Armstrong (MN)/Twin Cities Aces (2022)
Another prospect that balled out for Chris Grigg’s bunch of Aces wide receivers was Ernest Evans of Robbinsdale Armstrong from the 2022 class. Although no film available on Hudl, Evans could be an under the radar name to remember when the Falcons play this year.
No Tape.
Terrance Ferguson Terrance Ferguson 6'5" | TE Heritage | 2021 State CO , TE, Heritage (CO)Team Full Gorilla (2021)
Ferguson, in three words: Big Man Grabs. The Oregon commit grabbed pretty much everything Luke McAllister Luke McAllister 6'4" | QB Palmer Ridge | 2021 State CO threw his away last Sunday. His range of motion on his catches is off the charts; it almost doesn’t look human. On film, Ferguson’s routes are as crisp as they come, and it’s no wonder Mario Cristobal landed “Big Man Grabs” Terrance Ferguson Terrance Ferguson 6'5" | TE Heritage | 2021 State CO out of Colorado, to not put him on full display in the Pac 12 in the years to come. The kid has all the intangibles to play on Sundays.
Ashton Schriever, WR, Shakopee (MN)/Potenza (2021)
Schriever may stand at 6’2, but don’t think that this kid can’t run some shifty routes. His limited film at Shakopee makes him an under the radar prospect that could benefit from a big senior season to get his stock risen.
Imarion Kelly, WR, Roosevelt (OR)/Twin Cities Aces (2022)
Making the near 1800 mile voyage were our next two prospects from Portland, OR, to play for Twin Cities Aces. Kelly used his strong legs to make some critical cuts as a wide receiver for the Aces last Sunday. You can see the shiftiness Kelly brings as a duel threat QB playing for Roosevelt High School on film. He has a great vision not only as a ball thrower but as a runner. Certainly would put Kelly as an ATH that stood out from Sunday.
Lindell Betts, WR, Roosevelt (OR) Twin Cities Aces (2022)
Betts, another prospect that made the trip from Portland, was another standout for TC Aces. Betts has the burner type speed I love to watch on tape and has the versatility to line anywhere on the field, especially at DB, WR and can work in some RB packages. His ideal fit? At the next level could be a solid DB with some quality hands and speed a college roster would love to have with some decent measurables.
Julian Diedrich Julian Diedrich 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Wayzata | 2022 State MN , Wayzata (MN)/Hitmen (2022)
Hitmen’s Julian Diedrich Julian Diedrich 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Wayzata | 2022 State MN was another standout from their runner up campaign from last Sunday. Although the Trojans are not your most dedicated program with passing the football, Diedrich provided a spark, especially in deep ball territory last year. Although not the biggest kid on the field, Diedrich is a prospect that has a concrete first step and could be a sleeper in the 2022 class with a more dedicated ball thrower in Jack Kinsey Jack Kinsey 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Wayzata | 2022 State MN transferring to Wayzata this season.
Matteo Bonnin Matteo Bonnin 6'3" | 210 lbs | WR Hudson | 2021 State WI , Hudson (WI)/Potenza Sports (2021)
Bonnin is one of those “go up and get it” type of wide receivers you want on your roster. Why do we keep talking about him over the last few weeks? Because Bonnin is just built differently with a big motor to back it up. No ball is out of reach if it is thrown anywhere near Bonnin, as he’ll use the leverage and strength in his 6’3 frame to make any play for his team, whether in 7on7 or with the Hudson Raiders. Our guys over at Prep Redzone Wisconsin have him as the #3 WR in the 2021 Class, and First Team All-State in Division I. Currently holds four Division I FCS offers. Still, my question is when that FBS offering is coming?! The Missouri Valley could be getting a steal in this kid.
Jameson Geers Jameson Geers 6'5" | 230 lbs | TE Providence | 2021 State IL , TE Providence Catholic (IL)/EFT (2021)
Geers is a tight end that punches linebackers in the seams of the defense. The Minnesota commit will give the Gophers a big target to hit over the coming years that catches everything in his wheelhouse. Think he’s an impressive TE? Geers is also a gritty defensive end that tackles with tons of momentum to seal any offensive player in their tracks.
Other Standouts from Pylon
Riddik Collier, ATH, Holy Family (MN)/Twin Cities Aces (2024)
Tate Lahr, WR/P, Mounds View (MN)/Hitmen (2021)
David Riley Jr David Riley Jr 6'3" | 160 lbs | WR MPLS North | 2022 MN Jr., WR, Minneapolis North (2021)
Solid basketball prospect as well! Ranked WR in our 2022 class.
