<strong>City Rankings:  Raleigh – Durham Area 2021 RB’s (1-8)</strong> <strong> </strong><strong> </strong>The group of running backs listed displays their athletic skills in a variety of ways on the playing field.  This is the first group of the best backs in the area: &nbsp; <strong>  #1.  [player_tooltip player_id="28475" first="Trevion" last="Cooley"], 5’10” 200 – Knightdale HS.  </strong>Trevion is an explosive runner who sheds would-be tacklers.  He follows his blockers then runs past defenders. &nbsp; <strong>#2.  [player_tooltip player_id="28480" first="Jaylen" last="Wright"], 6’0” 192 – Southern Durham HS.</strong>  Jaylen displays a combination of power and speed.  He does not go down upon first contact with a tackler.  The Tennessee commit will continue to ignite the offense. &nbsp; <strong>#3.  William Lovick, 5’7” 185 – New Bern HS.</strong>  A shifty runner who follows his blockers well.  William displays a combination of power and speed in the open field. &nbsp; <strong> #4.  Raekwon Batts, 5’10” 235 – Beddingfield HS.  </strong> A big and powerful runner who runs overs tacklers.  He accelerates in the open field and runs past defenders. &nbsp; <strong> #5.  Juan Riddick, 5’11” 180 – Northeastern HS. </strong> Juan accelerates quickly as he finds openings in the defense to gain yards.  He outruns defenders in the open field. <strong> </strong> <strong> #6.  Derek Coombs, 6’2” 205 – Holly Springs HS.</strong>  Derek is a big and powerful running back who sheds tacklers.  He runs past defenders in the open field. &nbsp; <strong>#7.  Dylan Waskey, 5’7” 165 – Holly Springs HS.</strong>  Dylan is a fast and shifty runner that runs past defenders.  He has good hands and catches passes well in the open field. &nbsp; <strong>#8.  Andrew Doss, 5’7” 175 – Leesville Road HS.</strong>  Andrew finds the openings and accelerates to gain yards.  He has good hands and catches passes well. &nbsp; <strong> </strong> <strong>  </strong>
